Today, for the second time, I ran into Guinn Walker at 7:07 a.m. at the Quick Trip on south Broadway. Sometimes, I swing by there between routes to get caffiene or breakfast. Guinn, the ever-vigilant plumber man, is up and working by 6ish like me, and by 7ish, he needs coffee. I like bumping into him because a) he's a cool guy and b) I get hugs.
We met today as he exited the front door.
Kate: "Hey, Guinn!"
Guinn: "Hey!" *hugs* How's work?
Kate: "Good. It's the Ides of March today! So I guess watch out, if you're Julius Caesar."
Guinn: *looks at the back of his hand, then feels his forehead, to check if he is Julius Caesar* "Whoa. That was a close one. Good thing I'm not Julius Caesar."
Kate: "Yeah. That was close."
This is why we are friends. That and he writes songs about roller coasters.
