Friday Five: laundry
Snatched from windandthestars even though it's not friday anymore.
Washing machine: front-loader or top-loader?
Top loading but if I were to buy my own I'd probably get a front.
Detergent: liquid or powder?
Liquid "Ecos" detergent.
Rinse cycle: fabric softener or another additive?
None whatsoever. I have some Shout and bleach but only for major stains.
And then: clothesline or dryer?
Mostly the dryer, it's too wet/cold here for line drying year-round and we usually have too much, however I have lots of clothes that can't go in the dryer so those end up either on the line or hanging up in the laundry room over doors/on hangers... doorknobs are good for drying bras and panties.
Do you fold things straight off the line or out of the dryer? What do you iron (or have someone iron for you)?
I pile things up on top of a cabinet/the freezer and then when "laundry mountain" reaches epic proportions I carry it to the couch and turn on the TV for folding. I don't have much that needs ironing but if I happen to need a pressed shirt/dress (rare!) then I iron it before I wear it.
