New York is nice and I like it a lot, but I have never been more impressed with a city at Christmas ever ever ever than right now. So here is a livejournal entry dedicated (mostly) to Christmas in New York.
But first, here's a very high quality picture of my cat, he hates me a lot:
Macy's amazes me.
There were Christmas dragons, you guys. DRAGONS.
I got a new camera, and this was the first picture I took with it. I hope that you're impressed by that.
I want to live here. Dumplings and donuts and pink pink pink always.
The best food place ever goes Christmas.
The vendor fair thing at Union Square. Every time I walk through here, I get punched in the stomach by like 70 speeding purses. It's great.
There was a surprise mini-parade in Little italy. It was pretty much just these guys, a band, some santas, and a Christmas comedian? It was tiny and perfect and so so loud.
I don't really have anything to say about this.
People asked for santa's autograph.
I missed this because I can't wake up ever, but the outside was amazing. Here,
http://www.gothamist.com/archives/2006/12/15/11_spring_stree_2.php , we can both pretend we got in. Also, right after I took this, two girls who were standing behind me asked the guy standing there to move, "Because we totally loooove hip-hop!"
Man oh man oh man, me and andrew were walking away from the exhibition in failure, and we walked past this store front with a bunch of junk piled up outside, and this kitty crawling all over it all, swatting the handles with his little paws every now and then. There was this stone-faced old guy standing next to the door of the store, kind of staring at nothing, and I stopped and asked him if that was his cat. He said, "Yeah." looking somewhere really far to the right of me, and I asked him if he minded if I took a picture. He said, "Sure, I don't care," looking kind of angry at whatever was happening in the sky. I went over and took the picture, and peeked over at the old guy, and saw that he was staring at the kitty like he was made out of gold and candy and magic and it was the bessst. I'm pretty sure that once we walked away, he took his kitty, went inside, and petted him for the rest of the day.
Ok these comments have to be getting pretty annoying by now.
Sword-eating, unicycle riding, spider-taming, Joey Joey.
My camera's pretty big.
This is the happiest kid that I have ever seen.
That night, I came out of the movies only to find that Union Square had been taken over by drunken santas, pulling out wedgies and taking smoke breaks. There was a dominatrix santa somewhere, but she moved real fast.
Nowhere was safe.
And, finally, this is Christmas in my room.
I love Christmas. The end.
