Recently, I've seen tons of Kakashi bashing. They say he was a bad teacher to Sakura and Naruto, and even Sasuke. They say if Kakashi would have tried harder to connect with his students on an emotional level, Sasuke might have stayed. I seriously doubt this because Sasuke was hell bent on revenge, and to do that he had to gain power. Not only that, Orochimaru planted the seed of doubt and hatred when he gave him the cursed seal and offered him power beyond his wildest dreams. Who would you choose if you needed to get on Itachi's level? Orochimaru, a seasoned, legendary Sannin? Or Kakashi, a porn reading jounin and former ANBU, which is the only side of Kakashi he'd really seen? I think I'd be inclined to choose Orochimaru too. Even that aside, it seems like its not in Kakashi's aloof nature to really connect with people, and this is probably a product of losing so many of his loved ones so young. He can connect, but it takes time, time which Sasuke thought he couldn't afford.
I agree! I think it would have spoken volumes for Sasuke's capacity to love if he would have chosen to go blind rather than taking his beloved brother's eyes. I think its symbolic of his corruption that he agreed to the transplant. He's taking from the ones he loved to gain more power to beat his former teammates, whom he also had affection for. (PLUS HE TRIED TO KILL KARIN. SDFJKNADN;SDMFFFFUUUUUUUU.) Stop being a douche, Sasuke. We know you still love them, and thats why you're trying to eliminate the only things that could change your path.
Once again, agreed. LEAVE ITACHI ALONE! And Deidara. And Hidan. And Kakuzu. And Nagato. Man, Kabutomaru is an ass. (I used to like Kabuto. I love all characters until they prove that they are made of teh ebils, and Kabuto has recently crossed this line. Wry would you do this to me, Kabuto? ;[)
Lol, I like to think that he will be all, "Itachi 8D omgbbilu and I'm sorry for being a butthead" and then realize... "wait... he's a zombie. RUN FOR YOUR LIIIIIFE, HE'S COME BACK FOR REVENGEEE!" and shit bricks, then dive behind behind Naruto or Sakura. But of course Kabutomaru will be nearby and Sasuke will realize what it is instantly, because Kishi would never make Sasuke look silly because of his time spent learning under Orochimaru. He will most likely go batshit and kill Kabutomaru ded. (booo, I wanted to watch Sakura fight Kabutomaru. SHE NEEDS TO WIN ANOTHER BATTLE DAMN IT. STOP PUTTING HER IN THE BACKGROUND. Plus, former medic + medic? It would be like watching the Tsunade/Kabuto fight all over again. Minus the fear of blood and Naruto being a hero. Hopefully. I'm tired of watching Sakura get saved by people. She's strong, damn it. So stop writing her like a damsel in distress!)
I know, I know. xD Kishimoto is most likely trying to reinforce his chapters and chapters of pushing that even the people with the darkest souls can be redeemed by our little ray of sunshine called Naruto. Danzo and Zabuza, anyone? I just hope for a squishy Team Seven reunion and SasuSaku babeez in the future. Is that so much to ask?
YES, FOR THE LOVE OF CRAP PUT HER BACK INTO ACTION. MAKE HER AWESOME AGAIN. I loved when she went after Sasuke with the intention to kill him, most likely to save him from becoming even darker and to spare Naruto from hurting over him and his promise to her anymore. I honestly think it was foreshadowing that she didn't kill him. It probably means that Sasuke has a reason for living, and Naruto will beat him and spout lines from Shakespeare until Sasuke is like, "Jesus Christ. Fine, I'll go - just shut up."
Sorry that was so long. I have a lot of feelings. >.>
Your welcome sweetie, and don't mind the long comments, I love talking about Naruto and I really do share similar sentiments with you!
I still don't get the Kakashi bashing...I mean, there is no way he can become a perfect teacher, and I honestly think he is fine the way he is. And what kind of statement is "If Kakashi was able to connect with his students more (in terms of emotional level), Sasuke might have stayed?" So what, if we substituted someone like Asuma who isn't as aloof and more warm, Sasuke's chances of staying would shoot up? NO. It won't. Not even by 1%. Haha, Sasuke has shown that he loves Team 7 and all their warm fluffy memories together but in the end, his heart was set on revenge I mean even his pretty rosette team mate couldn't convince him otherwise but maybe if she offered a little more.... I think Kakashi's lecture was great, it really did made Sasuke think twice about leaving but the seed Orochimaru planted was there and Sasuke's need for revenge was too strong for him to ignore. And, I agree with you too, if I were Sasuke, I would have went to Orochimaru too if I needed a lot of power in a short time. It's not really in Kakashi's nature to connect, but he does connect with them still (and in the start, he did said he disliked them). Team 7 flashbacks showed them having picnics, eating ramen together and their bond and emotional connection is something that I'm sure everyone can see.
A fellow fan I was talking about mentioned this regarding Sasuke's change in Shippuden. Was Kishi trying to make Sasuke less perfect? I think she does have a valid point, since in Part 1, the only bad thing Sasuke had was well...nothing unless you considered "no sex drive" as a bad thing. His problems always resided inside, not in his abilities but in his emotions. And right now, Sasuke has hit an all-time low. I can try to understand how he feels right now but taking Itachi's eyes? (le sigh)
I loved Sakura when Kishi gave her moments to shine, she has so much potential but, of course Kishi had to throw it away by having her take on the role of the damsel in distress or "I will entrust Sasuke to Naruto" now. No no no no no, Sasuke and Naruto had a close relationship together, BUT Sasuke is not only Naruto's. If anything, it should Team 7 trying to save Sasuke together, not just Naruto.
I loved Sakura's and Sasuke's moment with her having to face him and trying to kill him, it was just so angsty and Sakura omg poor bb, I wonder how she felt. She must have had everything planned out in her head except for one thing - the monster she was facing was the man she truly loves and I bet she wasn't prepared to be overwhelmed by the fact that she still loves him in spite of everything. No Sakura fan should blame Sakura for not being able to land a hit on Sasuke. I really do want to see how Sakura's handling things in Konoha now. I don't except her to be all cheery and smiley after seeing the man she loved try to kill her and also failing her own mission of killing him.
It probably means that Sasuke has a reason for living, and Naruto will beat him and spout lines from Shakespeare until Sasuke is like, "Jesus Christ. Fine, I'll go - just shut up." LOL, I love this. Kishi needs to read this. I don't think there's any way Sasuke is going to get killed anyway, Sasuke is Kishi's favourite character, maybe the only canon pairing now is Sasuke/Revenge and Sasuke/Kishi
I had to split this into two posts, because obviously I rant too much:
Finally, someone who won't get annoyed with my incessant ranting on Naruto! I can literally discuss Naruto for hours, since I love guessing at what's going to happen and making up (usually cracky) theories.
I don't get it either. Like you said, Kakashi is awesome the way he is. If he was perfect, he'd be an utterly boring character lol Aizen. How was Kakashi supposed to predict that Sasuke would be running away? He isn't a mind reader. And if he went against his own nature to be the perfect mentor to Sasuke, it would ruin his character and probably make him more negligent to the rest of his team, since he would use all his energy dealing with Sasuke's problems. Plus, Sasuke needed to defect from Konoha for the storyline to continue. If he had stayed in Konoha, Sasuke would have gone soft like he feared and never attempted to kill his brother. Naruto would have had no motivation to become as strong as he is now, (aside from his desire to become the Hokage. But if you think about it, Naruto never really improved until Sasuke left. Sasuke is what finally made Naruto realize he'd have to become better, stronger to bring his friend back) and he would have had no one to chase after. Sakura would have never gone to Tsunade to learn from her. Their motivation for nearly everything they do is to get strong enough bring Sasuke back to Konoha.
I think Kishimoto has tried to make Sasuke less perfect, and he's only building him up and giving him unbelievable jutsu so he can fight on equal grounds with Naruto (who is a fighting machine, as we've learned) in the inevitable battle between them. I don't like when people bash Sasuke just because he is a strong character. He has to be to live the kind of lifestyle he's living. Granted, Sasuke irritates me to no end with his poor decision making, his inability to find any other emotion to cling to aside from hatred, and the fact that he has such a one-track mind, but I don't hate him. I want him back in Konoha, free of his "darkness", so he can finally live the life he deserves. He's been through a lot, but there is more to life than hating and killing everything that pisses him off. I still believe he could be happy in Konoha, even if he had to kill the elders to achieve his closure. I wouldn't mind this one bit. The only two characters that truly piss me off in this manga are Homura and Koharu. They're such interfering, manipulative little snobs. Still, he deserves a swift kick to the nuts for taking Itachi's eyes. That's the one thing that Sasuke has done that was truly unforgivable. Well that and attempted to kill Karin. And Sakura. And Kakashi. And Naruto. ... Okay, he's a little bit of a douchebag at the moment
"I will entrust Sasuke to Naruto" now. No no no no no, Sasuke and Naruto had a close relationship together, BUT Sasuke is not only Naruto's. THIS. It made me rage so hard when I read this. I thought, "Why is she resolving herself to sitting in the corner and twiddling her thumbs? They are a team, damn it, so they should be acting like one." Naruto and Sakura both hurt over Sasuke, they both want him back, and neither of them is weak. Combined, they could bring Sasuke back. I have absolutely no doubt on this. So why is Naruto doing it alone? I think Kishi just really hates females, at this point. There's no other logical explanation to why they aren't fighting together for him.
She must have had everything planned out in her head except for one thing - the monster she was facing was the man she truly loves and I bet she wasn't prepared to be overwhelmed by the fact that she still loves him in spite of everything. Just to let you know, I am in love with that line. I think I may even write a story about it. You have inspired me, darling. I felt so awful for Sakura during that whole fight, it was clear that she really wanted to do anything Sasuke said to assure her own victory, but the task given to her just proved once and for all that Sasuke wasn't the same person anymore. He was volatile, angry and dark. But from the conversation with Karin afterwards, and her inability to kill him - it was clear that she was still deeply in love with him. I knew it was no longer a childish crush when she made it her mission to kill him, more than likely to spare his soul from becoming any darker. What's so beautiful about her feelings for Sasuke is we've all watched them grow from a schoolgirl crush to true love. She's hurt over him, he's tried to kill her, but despite it all she loves him. The real him, including all of his many flaws. I read a comment on a forum when those chapters were first released that made me furious. Someone said, "Lol, I knew that bitch didn't really love him. If she loved him, she wouldn't be going after him to kill him." oh no she di'int Even complete morons can see that she does care deeply about both Naruto and Sasuke. She was willing to throw away her dreams of real acceptance from Sasuke, not to mention her dreams of a relationship with Sasuke, just to spare them both even a little hurt. Imagine the guilt she would have lived with the rest of her life if she had killed the love of her life, and then tell me she doesn't care. I'm glad she didn't kill him. Now there's still hope for Sasuke's redemption and for Team Seven happiness.
I know, I know. xD Kishimoto said he modeled Sasuke after himself, so that would be like committing suicide. But I've always secretly wondered, if Sasuke is modeled after Kishimoto - does that make Kishimoto a little narcissistic? I mean, Sasuke is the hot guy every girl in the Naruto world is in love with. He's powerful, and he's a genius. Wtf Kishimoto? Why so egotistical?
Omg fu------I typed a long comment and LJ just had the nerve to delete it. I feel it's somewhere here though, so if you're getting too many commments from me, sorry! :P
Oh my, I'm so glad to have inspired you. If you do get to writing that fic, do let me know. I'd love to read it. I'm actually dying for some good SasuSaku fics set in the recent manga events...I'm sure there are some, but I've never noticed any of them before.
That comment referring Sakura as "that bitch"...I am totally okay with most people referring to characters as bitches I love to call Itachi my bitch..okay sidetracking. Her comment just shows how much emotional depth she lacks...I don't even comprehend how her mind works. Excuse me for my moment of bitchyness. I think Kishi made it blatantly obvious that Sakura still loved Sasuke very very much. And as though it wasn't enough to show it through what happened in the manga, he further reiterated that fact yes bitches, it is a fact not a statement. We all know Kishi. He only says the most obvious stuff in interviews.
She's hurt over him, he's tried to kill her, but despite it all she loves him. The real him, including all of his many flaws. - This made my heart melt. Sakura never ever fails to amaze me, that girl can love with her whole heart. I think the truth is that Sakura gave her heart a long time ago, and so what if this makes her seem lovesick, I love her even more. That night when Sasuke left her and the village, she decided that if she can't make Sasuke stay, she'd leave with him. Although what she did can be considered as selfish in the eyes of some, but to me, it just further shows how much she loves him and she's not just screaming her lungs out for him to get his ass back for the village. Sakura's love for Sasuke consumes her. For him, she was willing to leave behind her identity (No more Haruno Sakura, the forehead girl, no more the smarty pants, no more the goody two shoes, no more the A student, she was willing to become a traitor to be with him), she left behind her family, her friends and her village....love that deep can never disappear completely. Although writing all this down, it just makes me see how possibly selfish Sakura is and maybe foolish (let's try to see this from an unbiased, non-SasuSaku, pro-Team 7 POV), I still love her all the same. Her love for Sasuke has changed her. I've half in mind to think that Sasuke is her compass, her motivation, the love of her life and everything. She hasn't let go of him, she's just gotten used to life without him. Ah, but seeing him again, that'd surely stir up lots of emotions in her heart.
Kishimoto, you sexist, narcisstic, egoistic jerk. Sadly, I can't hate Kishimoto completely now. Because he does portray Sakura quite well. Of course, she could fall under stereotypical shonen heroines but the emotional depth she has. Oh Kishi, you do not suck at creating female characters, you suck at giving them the attention they need.
LJ is retarded sometimes. I lose my comments and rage every single time, because I can't remember what I typed before. xD If and when I write that fic, you will be the first to know - since its kind of in your honor. xD
I loathe when people call Sakura a bitch. Other characters, I don't care, but I am biased and have a huge soft spot for Sakura. (because she reminds me of a younger me) Like I said, I raged so hard I almost shat a brick, it was totally unwarranted considering it was no secret that she was still in love with Sasuke. On the flip side, I do understand when they call her selfish - because, well... she is. It's one of her many character flaws, but it's also what makes her human and such a believable character. I was like, "Damn it, Sakura! What the hell are you doing?!" when she said she loved Naruto. But I also understand that she was trying in her own, completely wrong way to alleviate the burden she placed on Naruto when she begged him to bring Sasuke back. She was silly to think that just because she apparently "loved" Naruto, that he would stop chasing the person he considered a brother. But she had a backup plan to spare Naruto... she decided to kill Sasuke herself. I understand that Sakura probably felt like she at least had to try to stop Naruto, no matter how pitiful her attempt was.
Sakura never ever fails to amaze me, that girl can love with her whole heart. This is why I fell in love with her character. She loves hard and completely, she gives herself up so easily and no matter what kind of person she fell in love with, she would love them until she died. Unfortunately, her heart was given to Sasuke. But no matter how dark he becomes, she will still love him with all of her heart, just because that's who she is. I can admire this kind of dedication, even if it seems illogical and stupid. Love is never logical, and Sakura portrays this better than anyone I've ever seen. It makes me feel all warm inside. I've half in mind to think that Sasuke is her compass, her motivation, the love of her life and everything. Yes! It honestly seems to me like everything she does is for Sasuke, which once again is a symbol of her undying dedication. Hell, even her attempt and failure to kill Sasuke was a symbol of her dedication.
I wish Kishi would allow Sakura to fight more battles, instead of pushing her into the background. She is a strong character, and she deserves to gain the same legendary status that her teammates are gaining. In spite of this, I still adore the way Kishi has written her. She really is a lovely character. Like love personified on paper. xD
Yeah, LJ really does freak out on me too sometimes. So, now I'm cultivating the habit of saving my comments first before publishing them, especially if they are ridiculously long ones.
I love Sakura so much, and because of how much I relate to her, I inevitably have a soft spot for her too. I loved her even in her annoying moments and when I found out how much she's grown, I couldn't help but love her even more. It is sad though the way Kishimoto treats her - constantly pushing her to the sidelines and not portraying her like the heroine she sure as hell can be. There are times when I find myself frustrated at Kishimoto for not letting Sakura's full potential show but instead consistently focusing on her flaws but I think that's the thing about Sakura - she is an incredibly flawed character, which is what makes us one of the most humane characters in Naruto. Most of the time, fans usually love her or hate her...or they're just sort of indifferent.
I can't stand it when I stumble upon rabid Sakura haters though, I think there's a much nicer way of professing out your hate and those rabid ones make me seethe in anger. Sakura's love for Sasuke is definitely one of the main reasons why I love her so much and why she is my favourite character in Naruto. I've always leaned towards female characters She loves Sasuke so heartily and that was something that Kishi got especially right about her characters. I think every character has something very distinctive about them and in Sakura's case, it would be for her limitless love for Sasuke.
She really is a lovely character. Like love personified on paper. - I agree with this so much, what a lovely way to describe her. I can definitely foresee Team 7 becoming the next legendary Sannin (imagine: They team up to fight against Madara, and Madara bestows on them the titles of the Legendary Sannins). They work great together and I can't wait to see them work together (Sasuke, Naruto AND Sakura). Damn it Kishi, stop forgetting about Sakura. She's a crucial part of Team 7 too.
I personally can't wait till Sakura learns Tsunade's jutsu (the one that automatically heals all her wounds) - it is very suitable for her and it makes sense for Tsunade to teach her that technique. I think Sakura's immense growth from Part 1 to Part 2 shows how capable she is and the potential she has. Let's hope that when Kishi says that she will act more like a heroine from now onwards, he isn't intending to waste away that potential and push her to the sidelines again.
I don't really know what to feel about the Uchihas too. All I'm sure of is that either way, things would end badly and their plan to stage a coup d'etat - it really shows how prideful the Uchihas can be and that they can't tolerate being second best. I still don't think Itachi should have been forced to make that decision. The death of all the Uchihas except for Sasuke in exchange for the safety of Konoha? It's cruel but unfortunately necessary.
Talking about the Uchiha's clan past, I'm reminded of something that got on my nerves. The rivalry between the Senju clan and the Uchiha clan. I understand how deep the rivalry goes but comparing Naruto to one from the Senju clan and actually TAKING him as a Senju when he is clearly NOT a Senju...that's just trying to dramatize everything. I think it was enough that Sasuke and Naruto are meant to be rivals, they don't need any more destiny stuff to make their rivalry even more dramatic.
I'm not the only one who loved Sakura even when she was kind of being annoying and rude? Obb, you might be my soulmate. xD I feel like I have more faith in Sakura that Kishi himself does, sometimes. If he would only let me have her part to write, I would make sure she gets the recognition she deserves. Medical jutsu + herculean strength? And someone remind me again why she isn't kicking ass and taking names? Ilu Kishi, but really. The best thing he could think of her to do would be to poison a kunai? I will NEVER stop bitching about this. Sasuke has the Chidori, Naruto has the Rasengan - and Sakura gets a poisoned kunai. Wtf? Have I been trolled? Or does Kishi have something against strong female leads?
I've been waiting for this forever. Well, ever since she became Tsunade's apprentice. The Genesis Rebirth technique would also make a lot of sense in regards to Sakura, since one of her weak points is her relatively low reserves of chakra. Imagine the damage she could do, and the people she could heal if she had more chakra at her disposal. She would be invaluable not that she isn't already and could very well go on to surpass Tsunade, just as Sasuke has already surpassed Orochimaru and Naruto has surpassed Jiraiya. I want to see this happen so badly, because they are the new generation Sannin. Not just because they learned from the original Sannin, but because their strengths are the exact same as the Sannin before them. They were born for this.
What pisses me off about the Uchiha is they had so much to live for, but because of their paranoia and all of their dirty little secrets, they forced Konoha's hand against them. They could have lived the rest of their lives out happily if they hadn't gone and made such a stupid move. Surely Fugaku knew that they were teetering on the brink of going to far, but because they had this deep-seeded need to be recognized, he just didn't care. What a petty reason to throw the world into chaos. The generations of past Uchiha assented to this surveillance and were happy to be police offers, even refused to carry out Madara's vengeance. But because of one person, their peace ended with their lives. I can't say Konoha is blameless either, but at least they were trying to defend against a war instead of attempting to cause one over a silly dispute that is ages old.
I've never even understood the comparison between Naruto and the Senju. What Naruto is doing is trying to save his friend, who happens to be the last remaining Uchiha. Not seeking some glorified end of the dispute that started between two ancient clans. He isn't a representative of the Senju, he doesn't have any of the Senju's powers, and he isn't fighting for the Senju. As a matter of fact, hasn't it recently been written that Naruto is a closer relation to the bearers of the Rinnegan? Wasn't he a relation of some sort to Nagato? The Rinnegan bearers had nothing to do with the Senju, they were all three the result of the Rikudo Sennin splitting his powers three ways: the Sharingan bearers, The Senju and the Rinnegan bearers. So it doesn't make sense to compare someone who is related to the Rinnegan bearers to the Senju. It drives me nuts every time I hear someone make that comparison. Why can't people be logical without blowing every small detail out of proportion? xD
Oh bb, we really do think alike. I just can't help but like Sakura even when she was annoying and rude. Perhaps, I'm just fated to like her because I usually don't got for the bratty kinds. But, either way, I really did liked loved her a lot.
I feel like I have more faith in Sakura that Kishi himself does, sometimes. If he would only let me have her part to write, I would make sure she gets the recognition she deserves. and Sasuke has the Chidori, Naruto has the Rasengan - and Sakura gets a poisoned kunai. - THESE TWO. Kishi needs to read this. He can't make excuses for the way he's treating Sakura by saying he intended for her to be a humane person with no crazy powers or that he made her out to be dislike-able. Not that, he's really making this excuses but I get so pissed thinking about this and I just can't see WHY Kishi does not want to realise Sakura's potential. I don't need him to make her mega powerful and strong like Nine Tailed Fox Naruto, I just want need him to see her potential.
Tsunade is perfect as her mentor, seriously. Apart than the Genesis Rebith technique, I'd love to see Sakura learn the Kuchiyose Jutsu too. And then, we'd have a perfect Team Sannin junior. Sakura can surpass Tsunade, even Kakashi said that himself (I'm sure he was pretty shocked at how Sakura grew so much) but why isn't Kishi giving her some screen time and those jutsus she deserve?
I get what you mean about the poison kunai, I expected something else and poison kunai is just pretty random considering her abilities. I tried reasoning out why her weapon of choice was a poison kunai though and the only thing I could come out with was that she wanted a fast way to kill Sasuke without needing to really come into close contact with him and causing him too much pain. Even so, there were a lot of other things she could have done, but I'd acknowledge the fact that she couldn't kill Sasuke - because that moment, THAT was in character even though it'd make people bash her even more.
I think the Uchihas are really prideful people, at least the really terrible ones are. They do have so much to live for though and they're so incredibly talented but of course, everything had to go to waste because they needed to prove to the world that they are better than the Senjus. Perhaps, the Senjus really did their part in the Uchiha's clan massacre, had they not confined the Uchihas like this and fed their paranoia, maybe then the Uchihas would have lived a much happier life and Sasuke would be Sasuke minus the whole bat-shit crazy and I am forever an avenger thing. BUT, maybe it's because the Uchihas just wanted to be recognised so badly that they're over-thinking even the littlest things. If they hadn't decided to go along with the coup coup d'état, I think one of the Uchihas might stand a chance of becoming future Hokage.
I'm so glad that you agree with me about the whole Senju/Uchiha/Naruto/Sasuke thing. Naruto should never be taken as a Senju, because he really isn't. That's the obvious truth, Kishi shouldn't try bending it to blow it out of proportion or to create unnecessary cliche drama. Naruto is more related to the Rinnegan bearers than he is to the Senjus - after all, Nagato was an Uzumaki (at least according to Madara).
SHANNARO! Sorry, I had to include that, it's for a Halloween dare. Hehe. I had to write SHANNARO! at the end of every sentence...but writing it at the end of every sentence is just...killer. Especially, for long comments like this, so I'd just add them at the end of every comment.
I definitely don't get annoyed with long posts about Naruto (especially regarding the stuff that I feel for too) and like you, I can go on and on about Naruto.
He isn't a mind reader. Oh, you sure about that? Cos I'm pretty sure he read Zabuza's mind. Heh, pardon my lame joke. Yeah, I agree with all the things you mentioned above. There is no reason to bash Kakashi for not being a good teacher to Team 7: as far as I'm concerned, he was a good one (Sure, he did told young Sakura that everything would be okay when it really wasn't, but I think that scene was symbolic of how Team 7 was not going to stay happy for a long time). He is far from perfect, like most of the other senseis as well, and there is no way he could have been a perfect mentor for Sasuke without neglecting Naruto and Sakura. I never thought Kakashi ever favoured Sasuke, he just related better to Sasuke and saw his old self in him but that didn't change anything. Perhaps, he paid a little more attention to Sasuke because he didn't want to see Sasuke turn out like how he was when he was young. But, anyway, that extra attention that Kakashi gave Sasuke was mainly just training him for the last round of the Chunin exam. Kakshi was the person most suited to train Sasuke, just like how Jiraiya was the person most suited to train Naruto. So, they both had their own mentors during this period.
There are plenty of reasons to bash Sasuke to be honest (even more reasons as compared to Kakashi) but bashing him because he is strong? That's like bashing Sakura because she is weak...and although it's not that accurate of a comparison, I still hate both reasons. I've always had a soft spot for Sasuke despite all that he's done, mainly because all of this bullshit he's putting himself through right now stemmed mainly from the immense love he has for his family. And also, sentimental me just can't forget Part 1 Sasuke. He does have his reasons for the revenge thing, and despite his strength and power, he's a rather impressionable person. If he carries on the path of revenge, his future would be equally as bleak or perhaps even more bleaker than his past and present. He just needs someone who can be patient with him and soothe all the raging emotions he feels (cough) Sakura (cough) Team 7 (cough). Right now, it seems to me like he's just finding something to hate about everything (regarding Team 7, Konoha etc) becasue if he doesn't, he'd probably go back to being all "weak" and soon his resolve to kill Konoha and the people in it will fade...I believe that's something he would never want. He probably even has the intention to kill Madara after using him.
When Sasuke mentioned chapters ago that his main intention was to kill those annoying and pesky elders, I was pretty indifferent about it - even happy actually. I think he does have a right to kill them because they were just so bitchy unreasonable, old-fashioned, and "self-centered" for lack of a better word (only cares about Konoha and probably themselves). They forced Itachi to make a decision he shouldn't have needed to make and took away Sasuke's family. Haha, they are the ones who deserve to die. Alright, I'm letting my biasedness affect my judgement. I think what Kishi wants to do is to make Sasuke hit rock bottom and for all the fans to believe that Sasuke is truly irredeemable.
While since we're on the topic of Team 7, there was something that annoyed me (even though it was chapters ago). After Sakura confessed lied (or more like reiterate how much she loves Sasuke) to Naruto, and Naruto was about to tell her about what really happened with Sasuke's clan but Kakashi stopped him. I don't hate Kakashi but...why can't Sakura know? Maybe it wasn't the right moment, standing in the snow, and having everywhere there...but If Sakura didn't know at that moment, she will probably never learn the truth until the last possible moment. Maybe, learning about what actually happened to Sasuke would make Sakura's heart ache etc, but she of all people deserves to know. She's a part of Team 7 too :/ Maybe I just really wanted to see Sakura's reaction to hearing about the truth or I wanted Itachi to appear in Sakura's dreams too and talk to her about Sasuke just like how Itachi talked to Naruto
That bothers me too. She kind of has the right to know, as his former teammate and one of the people who has literally almost died trying to find him. It makes no sense, bb. Why is Sakura the only one left out on this little secret? Do they think her heart will waver and she'll revolt against Konoha for the injustice against Itachi, and ultimately her beloved Sasuke? I honestly think she would. Her heart belongs to Sasuke, so if she were to find this out, she may very well attempt to join him in his war.
I'm getting dirty thoughts about ItaSakuSasu now. How delicious would that be? Very delicious.
And something random I thought of: What if Sakura was...a distant Uzumaki? My sister and I were thinking about it once because well, Sakura does fit to be an Uzumaki (although she has pink hair and not red). Of course, this is just a crack theory since Kishi has absolutely no interest in making Sakura anything but ordinary.
Do they think her heart will waver and she'll revolt against Konoha for the injustice against Itachi, and ultimately her beloved Sasuke? I honestly think she would. Her heart belongs to Sasuke, so if she were to find this out, she may very well attempt to join him in his war. She just might. I can really envision her not being able to see the elders in the same light after hearing the truth about the Uchiha clan. I don't see her hating on Konoha though, or killing as much as Sasuke, but she will seriously not look at those damned elders the same way again.
Btw, what were your thoughts where Sakura told Sasuke that she wanted to join him? Did you think she had ulterior motives?
Lol - now that you mention it, it almost does make sense. xD Who cares if she has pink hair? Maybe her mother was a redhead, and her father had pale hair. Maybe even... dun dun dun. BLONDE. cue Twilight Zone theme It would be the conspiracy of the ages. Although with Naruto's crush on Sakura, I can't help but compare it to Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia. >.> I want this to happen. It fits. And then we don't have to worry about the NaruSaku fans bashing on our beloved SasuSaku anymore. Nothing will stand in our way. Mwahaha.
I don't really think Sakura could ever hate her village any more than Naruto could. But I can see her talking Sasuke into biding his time, long enough to convince him that the Elders are the ones to blame, not the innocent villagers. She's smart enough to pull it off. And Sasuke is impressionable enough to listen if she can come up with a good enough excuse. Just like how Madara manipulated Sasuke into believing that the whole village needed to suffer, most likely to satisfy his own vendetta against Konoha without breaking his "hands off, Madara-poo" vow with Itachi. oh Itachi. Why do I love making you sound so sassy?
I truly do believe that Sakura intended to follow him as long as he would allow, to learn his plans and attempt to manipulate him into returning and accepting his punishment of his own free will, since it was clear he wasn't voluntarily returning to Konoha at that point. I believe part of her wanted to hope that Sasuke wasn't a complete loss, but I also think that she guessed that Sasuke was darker than he used to be, judging from his attempt to kill Naruto at Orochimaru's hideout. What she wasn't prepared for, though, was how dark and seemingly thoughtless Sasuke had become. Asking her to murder Karin, and declaring that he would destroy Konoha threw her for a loop, so she panicked and immediately shifted to her final resort, which was killing Sasucakes. That was my thoughts, anyway.
After the initial reaction of "and now she will tie him up and sex him into submission" of course. I am a SasuSaku fan first and foremost, after all. What did you think, O Wise Newly Found Friend and Partner in Ranting
Who cares if she has pink hair? Maybe her mother was a redhead, and her father had pale hair. Maybe even... dun dun dun. BLONDE. The way...you said it...was PURE WIN. I can really envision Sakura as an Uzumaki, she fits the bill. I might even consider writing a fic about this, but where does SasuSaku fall in? I'd just have to think carefully about it. I'd be glad to get rid of those pesky NaruSaku fans, they're not our main competition though me thinks. I think the SasuNaru fans are way fiercer. The way I see them beat down SasuSaku arguments, they're relentless, merciless and hate Sakura with a vengeance. But, it might just be because the SasuSaku fan going against that relentless SasuNaru fan had a lot of loopholes in her arguments and assumed too fun aka fanstubrating: when a fan thinks the world of his/her favorutie couple or OTP. What happened between Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia? Sorry, I'm not updated with Star Wars, but I'd love to hear more about it...since it does remind you of Naruto's crush on Sakura.
I've always thought the Team 7 love triangle (NO SASUKE DOES NOT LOVE NARUTO, IT'S A LOVE TRIANGLE, NOT A LOVE SQUARE, JUST THREE SIDES) was complicated but well thought out. Although, it does mean SasuSaku has some competition. Naruto's feelings for Sakura are deep, although I would never compare them to Sakura's feelings for Sasuke, they are deep nonetheless. And, I can see him falling head over heels in love with Hinata (who else is there for him?), but I don't think he'd ever forget how he feels for Sakura (just like Jiraiya and Tsunade). I don't think Sakura can forget how she feels for Sasuke too, which is why her feelings for Naruto can only go so deep.
I like your plan - get Sakura to talk some sense into the impressionable Sasuke. It's practically foolproof but sadly, it's not Kishiproof. Omg lame joke again, sorry It looks like the only person that can change Sasuke's mind or in Itachi's words, paint Sasuke's heart, is Naruto. I think Kishi made it pretty clear, he likes to focus on Sasuke/Naruto's brotherly bond and forget about Kakashi and Sakura while he's at it. Who knows though? Kishi is pretty unpredictable. I sure as hell didn't see him letting Sakura go as far as reaching Sasuke and actually talking to him.
Ah, I agree with you so much about Sakura's feelings at that moment and what she means by joining him. I think a little part of her wants Sasuke to prove her wrong - that he hasn't turned into the monster that everybody said he is and that there's still a reason for her to keep him alive. And there is. Because she loves him and that's proof that even the worst things have something to love about them. I think Sakura's goal was definitely to kill Sasuke, and it might have rooted from her feelings of uselessness and seeing Naruto do everything and her, do nothing. She wanted so badly to save Sasuke (and Naruto) and killing him just seemed like the most logical solution (killing Sasuke would mean the world has one less Uchiha and one less Uchiha means WAY less destruction and havoc). Of course, Sakura wasn't prepared for the universal fact that she will always love Sasuke, despite what changes he's been through.
Sakura, in my opinion, has always been battling between her heart and her mind. The reason why she keeps making the "same mistakes" over and over again and going back to square one is because every time she thinks she's going to follow her mind (follow what's logical, what's best for Konoha, what's best for everyone), her heart interferes (her feelings for Sasuke). That's another reason why she's so realistic. I remember how she broke down when Karui brought Sasuke out of the blue and referred to him as a villain. In that moment, I really wanted to give Sakura a big hug and slap Karui for not understanding Sakura's situation. But, that's just me being biased.
All in all, Sakura's love for Sasuke should be her strength and not her downfall. Especially since it's what defines her. It's only SasuSaku fans who see it as her strength, half of the time, Kishi makes it seem as though it's her downfall, by pushing her back to Square 1.
Kakashi even apologized to Sakura for giving her false hope, so I don't see any logical reason to bash him. But the fandom never fails to amaze me with the rampant stupidity, so it doesn't surprise me. Have you seen some of the reasons Sakura is bashed? For having small breasts, and for being ugly? I can't hold the opinions of the fandom in high regard. They are kind of stupid for the most part, and this is why I no longer associate with the fandom.
Oh yes, Sasuke has given the Naruto fandom countless reasons to bash him. I understand when he is bashed, because lets face it... he's kind of being an asshole at the moment. In the beginning, I loved when Sasuke went out for his revenge. I love that he missed his beloved family so much that he was willing to do anything, even give his body to Orochimaru, so he could avenge their deaths. My heart broke for him when he was told the truth - I know that caught him completely by surprise and tainted any of the goodness left in his heart. (he still had good in him when he was with Orochimaru, considering he refused to kill those sound nins) I could even sympathize with him when he decided to destroy Konoha. (after all, Itachi's life was completely unjust) But after that? He was murdering people left and right, fatally wounding his own teammates who had protected him, (that "see ya" moment when he was about to kill Karin made me rage) and asking his former teammate and the girl who was always willing to give up everything for him to carry out such a dark deed, and declaring that he would kill Naruto. But like Itachi said in Naruto's flashback - "Sasuke's heart is still a blank canvas. Anyone could paint it any color they choose." And I believe Madara tainted Sasuke to the point of mindless slaughter, but Naruto or Sakura could color it their way. I believe this will happen, and I think Itachi's words were a kind of foreshadowing that Sasuke is redeemable. The hints are there, but they're kind of overshadowed by the horrible deeds that Sasuke has committed. I think this is the way Kishi wanted it to be.
I can't wait for Sasuke to kill those elders. They had no right to use Itachi's peaceful nature against him. He was mentally scarred when he was four years old, and they used that fear of war to manipulate him into killing his own family. Their decision was downright cruel, and even though they probably had the village's best interest at heart, considering the Uchiha were planning to revolt,Viva la resistance! they shouldn't have used an innocent boy to carry out this task.
I'm not sure how I feel about the Uchiha though. On one hand, I think they needed to die because of the war they would inevitably cause. But on the other hand, depriving Sasuke and Itachi of their family was also devastating in the end. I honestly think the village was screwed either way. xD
I have a lot of feelings. >.>

Like love personified on paper. xD

Why can't people be logical without blowing every small detail out of proportion? xD
You and I really do think a LOT alike.

P.S. You have great icons ♥

I'm getting dirty thoughts about ItaSakuSasu now. How delicious would that be? Very delicious.

Uchiha/Sakura smex omg~

I honestly think the village was screwed either way. xD
