Fruits Basket in Taiwan
In Taiwan, each volume of Fruits Basket is less than 3 USD. So, I bought volumes 14-17 in Chinese. I'm getting through them okay. It's better than searching for direct-link scanlations, trying to figure out IRC, or waiting for Tokyopop to release each volume.
I did a very spur-of-the-moment thing. I bought the Fruits Basket artbook. It was around 25 USD. I was actually surprised there were so many pictures. I was actually bracing myself for a disappointment as I unraveled the plastic. But it's nice; 100 pages of beautiful images =]. I even drew a fanart of Kyon-kyon which turned out decent (by my standards).
Taiwan's channels are littered with anime. I've watched Naruto, Gundam Seed, Pokemon, Digimon, Ojamajo Doremi, Inuyasha, His and Her Circumstance, Clamp Campus Detectives, Detective Conan, Cardcaptor Sakura, and some others that I don't know the names of.
I am so deprived in the States.
