My dear, we can't all be JK. A lot of us and by us I mean you writers take a long time to write things. And by a long time, I mean multiple years. The fact that you've been writing this Samantha story (which really needs a title, by the bye) for two ish years, well, I'm sorry, but it doesn't seem that shocking. Nor do I think you need to feel awful because you need to take a break from it for a while. If you let it become fresh again I'm willing to bet that when you come back to it 1. you will be able to see possible improvements way clearly and 2. you will have all kinds of great new ideas...
I have gone through so many titles... I ended up being okay with each one of them at one point or another but they never seemed to fit quite right so that is why I have no title again
