Dear Bear,
I just have one question, sweetie. Was it worth it? The honey you got from that bee hive. Was it worth your face SWELLING YOUR EYES SHUT? GOSH!
Much love,
Laura
That was the first dumb thing I'd ever seen him do. It was so dumb that even I knew that it was dumb and was yelling at him not to try it. Discovery was showing a marathon of Man vs Wild yesterday and I quite enjoyed it but honestly that crazy man! Just to get at some of the honey. One of the bees stung him in the forehead and apparently he was allergic and the entire upper half of his face swelled up like a balloon. His eyes were just slits in his face.
I've had allergic reactions where that's happened to me before and it is one of the WORST feelings! It's not the most painful thing but it's really strange and makes you feel so helpless because you can barely open up your eyes.
He's usually much smarter than that. But it was a rerun so...he's obviously learned I guess. lol
Cecily and I taped the new episode last night because at around 9 last night I started feeling tired and didn't feel like staying up for much longer. So, more Bear to watch!
One thing about Robin Hood I feel I should mention:
The only reason Cecily and I started watching Robin Hood in the first place was Richard Armitage. I'm not ashamed to admit it. We learned that he was playing one of the villains and thought we'd check it out.
It is all of the things I've said it is. The characters a likeable, the writing is close to awful but the stories are pretty good most of the time.
But do you KNOW what those writers had the cajones to do?! DO YOU?! In one particular episode Marian needed to pretend she'd been captured by Robin Hood just to throw Guy off and so she could get back into the castle. She was stuck, tied up in a tree.
Guy gallantly went up to get her and do you KNOW what he said?! He said: "You're coming home with me." to her.
For those of you who've seen North & South you will know how significant that line is and how shameful it was that they had him say it as such a character in such a situation. In N&S it was a question of surprise (oooooh, fantastic!) in RH it was more of a command. GOSH! I bet even Lucy Griffiths (Marian) caught it when she read it or heard him say it for the first time.
BBT was pretty funny yesterday. It didn't make me laugh until it hurt but it was still good.
I have my favorite lines from both BBT and HIMYM last night.
BBT
"I'm starting to look pretty good now, aren't I?" - Howard (LOL!)
HIMYM
"I can jump that far." - Marshall (I so want to know what he was doing. LOL)
Both episodes were really funny. I quite enjoyed them. "For shizzle."
Not much else is going on at the moment.
Cecily and I were discussing 2010 a couple of days ago. The actual year 2010. It's a very significant year.
*Evan comes home from his mission.
*Us seven siblings have planned to congregate and tear up Disney Land after Evan comes home. Just us, no families, no kids, no nothing.
*It's the parents' 40th wedding anniversary.
Cecily and I were discussing what we should do for the parents' anniversary and we landed on some sort of cruise. It is absolutely perfect! They don't have to walk too far to see anything or to get anything; They can go and rest whenever they need to.
It's the perfect vacation really. You gain ten pounds, don't have to walk much and yet you get to see some awesome stuff!
The only issue with it is whether or not us kids would be able to afford that along with the Disney Land trip. Yeeeeesh!
Heh, maybe I should try and get a novel published by then. LOL No loopholes in that plan!
