Well there's been an interesting development at work. After all of my whining about her, it seems that my "supervisor" is going to be out for the rest of the week due to her being ill. Hm. Interesting.
I also just learned that my computer did come today at around 9am but no one actually came to the door to sign for it so they couldn't deliver it. *growls* There were 3 people at home and Mom wasn't going to answer the door in her nightgown. I'm a little frustrated at the moment.
That is about all the news I've got for now.
How CUTE was Hugh Laurie being all unprepared accepting his Golden Globe this evening! I turned it to the channel right as they announced his name and he was gettig up to get it. He seemed all flustered at himself while still managing to be witty and charming making even Tom Hanks giggle. And how awesome was it that the cast of Heroes were the ones presenting his award :) That was fun, and that was about all I was interested in seeing anyway.
I rested yesterday. It was complete bliss. I wandered into the family room with a drawing I need to finish and turned on Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home my favorite of the old Star Treks. I had forgotten all the great parts in it "One damn minute, Admiral." I still adore that flick at the clever funniness that ensues. "They are not the hell your whales." I watched that and I watched an episode of Black Adder with the bros and THEN a few Borg episodes. Now that I watch it again, Enterprise couldn't even get their Borg episode right. I was poking nerdy loopholes all the way through it and realizing that I didn't care much if the crew got assimilated.
We watched that and Unimatrix Zero, which I love and now that I watch it again, realize how much it applies to internet chat rooms. The concept was quite similar coming from my teenage chat room experience.
I can't believe my computer came...but not.
