(no subject)
Went over to Cecily's last night and what did we do? We watched the last episode of North & South again! With repetitions of the last scene. *dies* Then we watched The New Guy and then afterward.... North & South the dinner party scene, which I LOVE because he approaches her "..with the moves of a jungle cat." *dies again* Gawl Richard Armitage is just SO fabulous that I have to write a story around him... I could probably fit him in one of the ones I've got going actually.
But anyway! Gotta get to church today and I also have to do some painting as well. I went to my meeting this morning (FYI: I'm part of a group that plans activities for the women in our congregation.) and we had some really cool ideas about simple random, inexpensive activities we could do throughout the year. I also suggested going downtown to do some art gallery hopping like my drawing class did last year. I know of a couple down there and I'd have to look up a few more to visit but it'd be really fun I think for us to do.
I would also adore the classic movies group if we get that started. But anyway, I'm just typing out loud ;)
Watching The New Guy was quite fun because Cecily and I hadn't seen it in such a long time and it was like discovering new jokes all over again. Yes, it's not the best film in filmdom and it's a guilty pleasure, kind of like The 'Burbs is to me but that movie is SO freaking hilarious it cannot be denied.
Oh! Another thing before I have to scram. I had an odd idea the other day and I started writing it down. I wanted to find a way to merge Star Trek: The Next Generation with the Firefly 'verse. But according to the timelines, Firefly actually takes place AFTER TNG and the technology is totally different et cetera. But it's nothing that a distortion between parallel demensions wouldn't cure ;) It has the potential to be quite amusing. I'm not sure however, if Jean-Luc Picard would actually like Malcolm Reynolds. I think they'd clash if they ever met.
