Now I really wish I had photoshop on this computer. Yes, it would get me fired eventually but I would at least have something to do right now. I'm kind of out of things to do, which is not good!
Heee hee, I just heard Andy's voice coming from the other side of my convenient office wall :) There's an amusing anecdote about him. But I have to go and do some stuff first so back in a bit...
Alrighty, lunch break! Now, where was I? Andy, that's right. I wrote
an entry about him when I first started this job because he indroduced himself to me out of the blue and has been kind of lurking ever since. What's funny is last week I had a meeting with my supervisor, Beth, and Harriet (old lady!) and we veered off topic after the meeting issues were addressed and Beth started talking about Andy and how he is, in fact, "weird". I agreed of course, relating to her about how he always comes into my office asking me for certain documents (as if I have them hiding in my pants) several times a week when there are at least three other people within view as he enters our department who are most likely more able to help him than I am. He'd started doing this a couple weeks after I was hired. Then I told Beth about how he gave me his blasted extension so I could call him when certain documents he's looking for come in. Harriet supported me in this because she shares the office with me and there's absolutely nothing wrong with her hearing (this, in some cases, is a bad thing of course *rolls eyes*). After Beth heard all this she grinned slyly and said at first, "Ooooo, I think he likes you." and she laughed when I said that's what I was afraid of as well. But thankfully she told me he should not be doing that to anyone in the department, making them a slave to the documents he wants *siggers*. So she told me the next time he comes into my office to send him over to her and she'll tell him what's up.
That same day he came into my office for the same old purpose and I talked to him firmly and Harriet whirled around in her chair and backed me up, saying he needed to go to Beth.
Well, heh, ever since then I haven't seen him at all *leaps for joy*.
It's not that I don't enjoy guys vaguely hitting on me (0_o) but I am a little paranoid of guys in general with whom I'm not aquainted at first (there's good reason behind that) and guys who hit on me at work. I have a rule not to date any coworkers anyway so, "no good *sniff* can't hear ya!" (that'd be a great icon!)
Now, of course, there are exceptions to the rules. Say Nathan Fillion, Matthew MacFadyen, or even Thomas Kretschmann came up and asked me out or simply started flirting with me, I could not be held responsible for my actions then. Even if they were my coworkers.... *ahem* now, if you'll excuse me *wanders off into hypothetical dream land*.
