so survived bolivia. one the salar trip my jeans decided they would rather be daisy dukes and riped both legs right up by the butt cheeks. so long jeans. then in la paz waiting on the copacabana bus went to the bathroom and the door ripped my pants right at the pocket. thank god for pockets or I would be bleeding from the thigh. so have a nice little patch covering that up. also had to sew up the crotch because 2 years of py laundry worn through! might end up naked by the time I get home the rate things are going! anyways we had a fun couple of days in La paz. learned all about the coca leaf. wandered about the city, saw a sponge bob made of flowers at the mirador we went to that was CLOSED so we didn´t get a chance to mirar! cold. went to the valle de la luna..thought I was going to trip and fall into a gorge at times.. pretty place. Copacabana was insanely touristic. Kyle got sick so we had to part a day early. :( we had fun with her and her mom. Walked over 8k on the isla del sol. pretty. a local girl blocked the path with her lama and tried to take Karen´s water bottle out of her pack but other than that fun walk. fell down the steps in front of the fuente de las incas and gave my knee yet another bruise. so much for eternal youth. we got a bus to Arequipa and the bathroom was locked... there were tons of bull costumy type things. that has nothing to do with the bathroom being locked though. had several long stops and peeps got restless and started banging the windows and floor. got scoped out by a few check points. made it to arequipa..its warm here. trying to figure out how to see the colca canyon and are waiting for robyn to arrive. walking in front of the iglesia a girl tried to force a pin of some sort of saint in my shirt. I must say after py and arg bus long distance bus system, I have gotten spoiled. La paz overwhelmed me. so cramed together and chaotic. we´ll see how peru goes. 2 more border crossings then I am home..eek
