AN:
Kink Bingo Prompt - Sleepy/Unconscious. Warning for non-con.
(
It probably starts because Kris never gets up on time. )
- "Non-con" fic, when appropriately labeled, is actually consensual--the author consented to write it, the reader chooses to read it, whether for exploring a kink or for working through issues, and none of the characters actually exist to have or not have consent.
But! The main problem we're running into here, completely my fault, is the age-old one where the story is never as full on page as it is in the author's mind. Any story has an entire universe behind it that the reader isn't getting in the text - there are essays and dissertations and books written about this. The overlap here is this: When I wrote this, I was imagining it as a prelude to my story Say Your Fault, which is the largest establishment of my blanket universe for kink. The ending, in particular, is a tie-in that I wrote to leave open for other stories I may find myself writing in the future that need a place to slot in, and while I in no way expect a reader to know, understand, or predict that, it is concrete fact in my head, and in the way I view the story. So this story becomes, in effect, an established relationship fic, just before that era. It means that's it's no worse to me than it would be for, say, someone to time travel back to their lover and steal their first kiss and then pop off without a word - it's an assault, but one that the "victim" will find acceptable in the future.
Anyway, sorry this was so long! If, you know, you actually read it. :P
