we'll set a course for anywhere but here

So.
I got fired today.
I was pretty close to quitting anyway, but I wasn't expecting to get fired.
I'm not that upset though, because I kind of hated it there.
I mean, I liked most of my co-workers. But it just was not fun, and I was not making very much money at all. The freaking busboy makes more money in a night than I do.
In a nutshell, what happened is I got fired for *yelling* at my boss tonight because he was accusing me of stiffing the bartender of tips when I was simply following his directions. And when he argued that those were not the directions that I was given, I argued back, and he decided to fire me for *yelling*. [And by the way, my coworkers agree that I was following the directions we were given and that that's how they all tip the bartender.]

I'm kind of upset because I don't intentionally stiff people (well...unless I think they deserve it...haha). And everyone has been doing the same as me. And just because I get a little upset, I get fired.
Well, fine. It's kind of a relief. Although it just sucks because now I can't use this job on my resumé.
And also, I should have flipped out a little bit.

When he said, "You know what, Laura, you've yelled at me twice today now, you're fired," I just said, "Okay, bye," and walked out the door. I wanted to go home, anyway.
And I'm also a little annoyed because of how much I put into that restaurant, and how little I got out. But whatever.
So yeah...I'm jobless for this week. Which is fine with me because I have a lot to do, and plus I'm going to babysit at Woodloch, and I'll probably make a lot more money there for just watching TV than I'd make at the restaurant for busting my butt.

Annnnnd Saturday morning I'm leaving for the Outer Banks of North Carolinaaaa with my family =) !!!

waitressing, grr
