First and foremost, my vacation!
I was in Kitty Hawk, NC (which is on the Outer Banks--or OBX as the cool people call it) from Saturday the 7th til Saturday the 14th. It was just a family vacation; we do it every year. Mostly we just hang out on the beach which is fine with me because you know I love to sit around and do nothing. It's fun watching people at the beach. Maybe the best place to people-watch. And read.
I didn't get very tan, although I am a little darker. And I got some sunburn where I forgot to put sunscreen on..oops.
I got to see Fastball while I was down there! (Fastball=band who did the songs "Out of My Head" and "The Way"..hits a couple years ago.) They played with this band called The Clarks (who I've never heard of..) at a bar near where we were staying. We found out about it from one of those planes that flies with the banners. My mom came with me to the show (she said it's because she likes those 2 songs by Fastball, but I think she was really just being overprotective..*sigh*) but it wasn't too bad that she came because there were a few parents there. Fastball was good. I can post a picture.
Voila.
The Clarks were decent. But everything kind of sounded the same after a while. So eh. Definitely not as good as Fastball.
I guess that was the most exciting thing about the trip. Oh yeah, and I got to drive partway down to NC...and through the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel (no idea if I spelled that right). It was kind of scary.
The Saturday that I was leaving I got up really early to see the sunrise over the ocean. And since you weren't there, here's a picture of it for you:
So anyway. We got home Saturday night. I picked up Ortley (that's my fish's name by the way...named after the beach by where I stayed in Seaside Heights) from my neighbor. He did not look well. I was afraid he would die...he had lost a lot of his color, and his water was all cloudy and gross .. my neighbor accidentally mistreated him a little (she had good intentions though, so can't get mad). But he has made an almost full recovery, so *phew!*
Also when we came back we had no internet. We have cable internet here and our modem died. So almost two weeks without the internet...not pretty. Well it wasn't that bad, but I just wanted to go on, and you know how you always want what you can't have.
So let's see. Between the time I got back and now, I went school shopping a little. Mostly just for clothes and shoes. I also worked a little. And some other stuff but I don't remember too much. If you look at the time this was written you will note that it's really late at night and I am on here because I can't sleep. Probably because I have to get up early tomorrow. Hey, I consider 9 early.
So, there. Consider yourself caught up.
