I stole this from
starofpersia and figured it could be a good way to sum things up.
1.) Where did you ring in 2007?
You know, this is kind of a hard question. I remember planning stuff in NYC but I don't remember any of it. I guess it was a NYE well spent lol
2.) What was your status by Valentine's Day?
Still dating Brandi - VDAY 07 was right before our 4 year anniversary
3.) Were you in school (anytime this year)?
Unfortunately, no.
4.) How did you earn your keep?
Molecular Beam Epitaxy Reactor Technician Level II - in short, growing semiconductors for all of your cell phones. The more complex they get, the busier I get.
5.) Did you have to go to the hospital?
I went to the hospital for myself once. I really screwed up my left big toe but figured it wasn't that bad. I went to the doctor to get my 2nd Hep B shot and the nurse instructed me to go to the hospital. I went there and they took 6 x-rays, tried to charge me $2k and told me that I had 0 broken bones.
6.) Did you encounter the police?
Not yet - but there are still a few days left. I did get a menacing letter from the MTA though for illegal use of a subway map in a design.
7.) Where did you go on vacation?
Well, I went to Vegas for a couple of days in June for a bachelor party, I went to Montreal for a weekend for a bachelor party and then Brandi and I went to Jamaica for 2 weeks to make up for going on bachelor party vacations.
8.) What did you purchase that was over $500?
Vacation to Jamaica
9.) Did you know anybody who got married?
Well, based on the number of bachelor parties I can easily say yes. Al and Courtney got married and so did Aaron and Bonnie.
10.) Do you know anybody who passed away?
No one close to me.
11.) Have you run into anybody you graduated high school with?
Well, my main friends group in NY is comprised solely of those I went to high school with but aside from them, I ran into some high school acquaintances at the various weddings.
12.) Did you move anywhere?
We moved from Allentown, PA to Bethlehem PA
13.) What sporting events did you go to?
I get 7 pack seats to the Mets every year for the past three. I also got to go to a couple of Phillies games where the Mets should have kicked some ass but, of course, rolled over and died.
14.) What concerts did you go to?
As shocking as it may be, I did not go to any concerts. I blame my shitty schedule for that though.
15.) Are you registered to vote?
Yes.
16.) If so, did you do your patriotic duty on Nov. 7?
I registered right afterwards.
17.) Where do you live now?
Bethlehem, PA
18.) Describe your birthday.
Working
19.) What's the one thing you thought you would never do but did in 2007?
1? Well, I never thought I would go to Vegas and come back with a 5 year old. A close runner-up) Go to a beachy relaxing sort of vacation.
20.) What is one thing you regretted this year?
The fight between my sister, myself and my mom that led to Jenna leaving.
21.) What's something you learned about yourself?
That sometimes I need to stop listening to my gut because, frankly, it has shit for brains. Also, forgiveness can be a difficult task.
22.) Any new additions to your family?
My mom is currently living with me and, before that, my niece
23.) What was your best month?
In a hedonistic sense, June for Vegas, specifically Rehab. On a personal note it would have to be December. I have been working a lot but the time off has been spent very well.
24.) What from pop culture will you remember 2007 by?
Brittney
25.) How would you rate this year with a scale from 1 (shitty) to 10 (excellent)?
7.5-8. A lot of good has happened. I'm making solid progress at work and could feasibly become an engineer in the not too distant future. My ties with my mom and my brother have gotten stronger after hitting a low in the previous year. I got the chance to make a lasting impression on a developing child and I think I did well with that chance. Brandi and I are still going strong despite my family and my work schedule. I still lack a sense of fulfillment from my work but I did just start the
cafepress site and that is certainly helping to alleviate the lack of creative release.
