the error in seizing the moment

The moment was never really yours to begin with. We were all just plopped into this unwavering stream of nothing but tadpoles. All the while, the only thing we only have to look forward to is morphing into slimy, unsightly frogs. They say this is all just a phase, these intermittent, brief periods of change in which we experience the vast majority of our lives. Growing pains and the like. Life is a phase in itself. We're all just tiny little frogs, pissing and shitting ourselves while we hop along until we stumble into the next chapter. My childhood is now just a daydream with erratic flashes of the tree at the pasture I wanted to get married under and ripping off grasshopper legs. The reality of the situation is the tree has since been cut down and I hate insects. The reality of the situation is I can not accept the desolation behind uprooting, and I like tearing life apart until there's nothing left.
