Party Monster
Ok so I'm such a dork & seem to get obsessed with little things for periods of time....LAMB,Anime, Ebay. Shit like that. Newest obsession Michael Alig "the Draino killer" aka King of the Club Kids. So I watched Party Monster all the way through. Then like the tard I am went out and bought the DVD, Soundtrack, and the book it's based on. OK so the soundtrack freakin kicks ass, I love every song on it and the DVD is great coz of all the extras. I haven't read the book yet but I am disapointed and I'll tell you why. I wanted the original book called "Disco Bloodbath" but when the movie came out they re-released it and changed the name to match the movie. So I went on Ebay to try to find an original hardcopy. $66 for it on ebay so I search some more, I found one for $864!! and one for $245!! can you believe that. So damn expensive I can't believe it. Anyway I've been researching the murder a little bit to get more info & damn the movie doesn't do the murder justice, they don't go into the truly gory details of it. Like how they kept the body in their bathtub for over a week until the smell got too bad, or how Michael hacked Angels legs off with a butcher knife and poured draino down his throat after they bashed his head in with a hammer. Or how the Cabbie helped them put the box with angels torso in it into the cab. Craziness but so intrigueing. Of course all the people involved were heavily drugged on Heroin and probably really didn't realize what they were doing until it was done. Of course this in no way justifies the murder.
Anywho I don't think I am as much interested in Alig as I am the writer of the book and Aligs best friend the imfamous James St. James the original club kid. He writes about his weekends every week for WOW and the guys that run WOW used to work with Alig in the clubs as performers,The Pop Tarts & did the documentary & movie based Alig and the murder. It's all so interesting I think but I suppose it's just me. I know if I were ever a man I would love to be a gay man. Gay men are just too Fabulous. I think I've just grown up around way too many gay people to not love them to death.
So I'm just going to throw in some pics of the real Micheal & James & then some of the actors too for fun of course.
