Whoo, not that IMDb's Batman-related boards have ever been a source for calm, friendly discussion, but the poo has flown faster than ever with the recent announcements of Bane(to be played by Tom Hardy) & Catwoman(Anne Hathaway) as the villains, as well as the resulting controversy among fans over the actors chosen and possible roles for rumored ( Read more... )

Yeah, I don't take much to those rumors myself. Now the new big rumor is that Levitt will be playing Alberto Falcone. One good thing about the PREY-rumor though is that it got a lot of people to check out PREY itself. Have you browsed e-Bay and Amazon? Copies of PREY and the LOTDK issues where it debuted are going for hundreds. Hopefully this will somehow inspire DC to put it back in print.

I try not to get too worked up over Neal Adam's recoloring, but it's when he redraws stuff that pisses me off. Most artists re-do stuff to capture details that were lost by bad inkers or printing errors, but Adams' reworkings actually obscure things MORE.

As for those recent "Greatest" collections, well, there's a reason I've ended up selling most of them. The Green Lantern volume that came out was supposed to, and even advertised as, carrying stories from all different eras and different Lanterns, but instead was mainly just Hal Jordan-focused. The Wonder Woman volume was just awful. Oddly enough, I did like their new Batman volumes, as it contained more genuinely great stories than the first.

But the new Joker volume just stank. You're probably right about them just including the bits from HUSH and TLH for advertisement purposes, but nothing will convince me that they included the Joker-Boner story for reasons other than the meme.
