Got some friends for Phish tour at my house right now. Been good catching up with them. But it makes me kinda sad that I'm not out there with them on phish tour. Oh well, first leg is over, 3 more shows, and a festival to watch go by. Phish is like, the worst Ex-girlfriend you could ever ask for. They ask you to spend piles of money on them, and you do. because you love them. then they leave you, at the worst time, and you have to let go. cus you know its the right thing to do. but how much you love them, and how great they can/could be, makes it so much harder for you to let go. they give you glimpses of that wonderful potential, but never attain it, only to keep you hanging on...

this is what happens when i get tired. i think about weird shit like that. bring on the mothafuckin disco biscuits. 2 weeks till i get my next fix of the crack that is Bisco.

The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place...wow...what an amazing record. Beautiful and driving at the same time. Such combinations of delicate notes, with driving, pounding, machine-gun like drum beats...quite a landscape Explosions In The Sky create on this record. Couldn't think of a more perfect name for this band.

Listened to Non-Prophets - Hope for the first time today. Sage Francis was not what I had expected. Definately a great record, but, from all the hype this guy gets/has gotten, I expected less anger, and more wit in his lyrics. Brilliant rhymes for the most part, but a little too aggro at times.

Bedtime sukkaz.
Peace

Mike D.

Have you ever been bent or pulled?
Have you ever been played like strings?
If I could see you I could strum you.
I could break you, make you safe.
I guess you can't really see the wind,
It just comes in and fills the space.
And every time something moves
You think that you have seen [her] face.

I've always got my guitar to play
But you know I can do that anyday.
