I am a Halloweenie
I am in such a good mood. Just got home from last night's escapades................which were fucking great!! Wait a minute, lemme back up.
Friday night I went to the Cue to meet up with some friends. When I pulled up, I had to don the rest of my costume (can't drive with my wings and halo). So, I'm standing at the back of my Jeep, just completed my costume, close the hatch, when I hear tires screeching. Like any good girl, I look up. What do I see? A cop car stopped at a 45 degree angle right in front of me. (I'm thinking someone's in serious trouble and sincerely hoping it isn't me) Now for the funny part... the two cops got out of their patrol car and gave me a standing ovation! I smiled, said thank you, and cracked my whip for them (which was met with cheers and more applause). For those of you who aren't aware of the layout on Highland (in Memphass), there are four or so bars in a strip mall type thing and Highland Cue is at the far end of the row (from where I parked, at least). So I start walking down the sidewalk. Every bar I passed, people were knocking on the windows and giving me variations of "Hey there, nice costume" ranging from thumbs up to the tongue-through-the-peace-sign (wink). I just kept on walking. Finally got to the Cue, met up with Cheston, Justin, Sara and some other folks. Good times ensued. Entered the costume contest and didn't get past the first round. Shelly sad. So I left and met up with Kevin and zeronine09 at Yosemite Sam's. Shitty karaoke but kind crowd. wolvengoth was leaving when we got there but came back eventually. Random boy asked if he could get a pic taken with me and I (politely) told him to wake up. Did I mention I love being a bitch to assholes??? Regardless, had a great night.
Which brings me to yesterday. Went to the Cue again to see Undecided play. (Love yous guys) There were other bands but I don't really give a shit about them so who cares, ya? Got to hang out with all the peoples from that crowd, Huzzah! I damn near had an altercation with Atara (a friend of Brian's) because she couldn't keep her evil eye to herself. Sorry but if you are going to attemp to stare someone down for hours, do so because YOU have a reason, not because of some bullshit you hear from a third party.............thank you. I was nice to her and although it made my stomach turn, it pissed her off so I was overjoyed. (Did I mention that I love being a bitch?) Back to the point, hung out, had tasty adult beverages, Kevin and his roomie showed, good times. Originally, the 'band chicks' weren't allowed in the costume contest so Laura and some other friends were going to judge and told me I was winning first place. Since the prize was a $100 gift certificate to Guitar City, I wanted the cash second prize and was assured it was mine. Due to the low turnout, they changed the rules to allow girlfriends of the band in the contest, I was thinking, there goes my monies, sadness, oh well. Some random girl came and asked me what the prizes were for the contest (which I thought odd because she wasn't in costume) but I told her and mentioned that I wanted to win second because I could really use the monies (Shelly poor girl). She told me she was a judge and wanted to give me first place but would suggest to the other judges I get second because that's what I wanted. YAY!!!!! Happy Shelly!! Laura and I made a deal that if I won first and she won second or third, we'd trade straight across so she could have the cert and I could have the monies. Turns out that (even thought I actually won first!!! I was told so by all three judges, two of which I didn't know so I actually did win) Laura 'won first' and I got 'second' so it all worked out anyhow. I think Alicia got third but I'm not sure, I kinda tuned out once I heard my good news. I had a complete blast and promise to post pics as soon as I have some available, for those of you who for once should lament the fact that you are not in the greater Memphass area (That means you, Utah!) or missed my kick ass costume even though you live in this neck of the woods (In which case, you should really kick your own ass because you really missed out but don't dismay, you have one more chance).
All I can say is I have had a great time. Can't wait to see what tonight brings.
