Who killed Schrodinger's cat?

The GaTech student chapter of the IEEE runs a faculty presentation series gears towards ECE students, where faculty come and talk about their research. I've already given several talks in this series over the years on topics that I know stuff about, so I figured I should start doing some talks in which I'm mostly making stuff up. Quantum computing looked liked fun. I thought, why not add some more math and such to the Stephen Granade's QC presentation (giving him appropriate attribution, of course), and call it "Quantum Computing at Dragoncon?"

Here is the abstract:

"Qubits, teleportation, and hallucinations, oh my! Calculate with your sunglasses! Launch into Hilbert space! Meet a blue cuddly monster that can help you find your lost car keys! Enjoy the quantum tunneling effects of green tea! Find out why the factoring of the number 15 by some scientist at IBM may eventually spell doom for internet commerce! Decide whether "spintronics" is a silly name! Oh, and we'll also tell you who killed Schrodinger's cat."

science, quantum
