Calling anyone who blogs, twitters, podcasts, or flikrs! Calling all modders, scripters, photoshoppers, and remixers!
1) Raph Koster, lead designer of Ultima Online, which served as a template for the current MMORPG craze, did a talk at the Game Developers Conference, now available as a podcast, called Where Game Meets the Web. The scope of the talk goes far beyond games. This is the only podcast I've heard to that I felt compelled to listen to twice. Anyone interested in the whole "Web 2.0" phenomenon of user-generated content (Koster even defines tagging and rating photos in flikr as user generated content, when enough of it is accreted) should listen to what Koster has to say.
His slides are available in both web images and the original powerpoint. The audio makes sense without the slides, but the slides don't make sense without the audio; you can listen to the audio first and then (optionally) browse through the slides.
