We've had a good six years, wouldn't you say? We have a lot of happy memories together and I'm glad to have shared half a dozen years with you. What started out as a schoolboy crush developed into an innocent relationship and took a sharp turn to crazy in love over these past couple of years. Well, crazy in love for me. Of course, you were in love, just not as much as I was. You told me after four years I started to get old, and you wanted a breath of new air.
Well, I never knew this but... it's okay. I still think you shine brighter than anyone I know.
"It's not supposed to be this easy," well, I don't think it has to be too hard either. If you expected me to cling to your leg or throw a bitchfit, those six years were a waste. Just take what's yours and I'll take what's mine, we can be on our separate ways, just know that in my eyes, you're brighter than the sun.
I'm so used to sleeping beside you at night, but in this king sized bed alone now, I feel so small... It's not your fault. You had to go, I noticed finally that I was suffocating you and I'm sorry for that.
You're starting to pack up your stuff and I'm realizing how badly I'm wishing we didn't have to end up here. This long smooth road that suddenly turned bumpy. Will you come back around to stay as my best friend? You of all people know me the best. I'd be honored to even be called your friend after all this. If you say no, just acknowledge that you're the brightest light in the darkest room.
