clerks 2? hold up!

Jul 22, 2006 12:02

well clerks 2 was allright.
not nearly as good as the first
but it's very hard to compeate with fucking a dead guy in the blackend quick stop bathroom
but the whole porch monkey fiasco worked well enough for me to see a guy sqirt soda out his nose(nice visual eh?)

But, one part of the film that left more than a little to be desired, was the muscial score.
smith used songs that were boring back in the ninties, and in one part basicaly based a whole 2 minute section around a smashing pumpkins song

smith really could have used something from this decade
like maaaaybe the new hold steady song:"curves nerves"?
that was posted on there myspace a few days ago?
i think this would have been a better choice to end the film on rather than the peice of shit that did

that song waaaaasss baaaaaaaaaaaaad
made you look at how much of a fugly shut in dante was.
and IF smith used the hold steady,
we'd of just of thought "what a great movie"
or at least "crazy little porch monkies"

but back to "Curves Nerves"

the song is an anthem and we all know that when you play a show, you should end with an anthem
get those hipster kids fist pumping and raising a glass.
you know, find that chorus that they can be humming all the way to their cars or to scream as they stumble down the alleys home

this song does that quite well, i should be humming it all day when i'm skateing around downtown
check it out on the bands myspace----> http://www.myspace.com/theholdsteady
it's the bottom song
enjoy
