Aw, thank you honey! It means a lot that you liked this, since I know how you feel about flashforward Kate. And Sam...well, I'm convinced she was looking for him in that scene. I'm so mad he wasn't there.

One thing I love about this whole Kate-has-Aaron scenario is that she becomes more like Sam than Wayne. He loved (loves?) her as his own though she wasn't, and now she's doing the same for Aaron.

Ooooh. I really do hope that was the case. Because I'm beginning to think they've just forgotten about Sam and that would be a tragedy. I still am hoping he's going to have something to do with their eventual return to the island. And yeah, I do agree that the homecoming scene wouldn't have packed the same punch had Kate had someone there for her.

Wow, thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed this :) I'm so glad you said this storyline makes you sad for Kate - I've been feeling quite alone in that myself. So much anger and hate for her, when it obviously (at this point, until we're told otherwise, I suppose) was not her choice to have Aaron.

I really, really wanted someone to write from Kate's head in that moment---her aloneness and the lie and everything about it hurt so much. I though Evangeline played the pain of a return to nothing true so brilliantly, and I think you managed to take that even further and make it even more alive.

A very emotional piece---brava! And thank you. :)

Thanks so much; I'm so glad you enjoyed this :) Evie did play that scene so wonderfully, as usual.

This was really nice. Holding Aaron probably makes the lies easier, in the same way they make them harder for Sun. I was sad that Sam did not show up. Do you think he was purposely shunning her? It would have been interesting to see Sayid's reaction too.

Thanks; I'm glad you liked this. I was really disappointed that Sam was not there; I think TPTB dropped the ball on that one, especially since he has connections to both Kate and Sayid. I really refuse to believe Sam was shunning her; until we're told otherwise, he's on a tour of duty in Iraq or something else out of his hands so he couldn't be there. Nothing we've been shown of his character so far says that he'd shun her when she's just essentially returned from the dead.
