Oh wow. That was great. Apart from the fact that you used one of my favorite songs ever (even if I favor the Jeff Buckley version ;) ), this was a take I can completely buy. She would take him in and he'd close himself in the room reading, alright. Their whole relationship here felt very realistic/true and I really liked how you vowed Aaron in. And of course they want to come back and they can't be okay if they don't. Oh, by the way, I loved that Sayid is the one that knows the way to go back. Always resourceful! ;) lovely job, I really liked it!

Thanks so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed this. I love too many versions of that song to pick a favorite, though Cohen takes the cake this time for being the original. I have a thing for originals ;)

And of course Sayid is the one who can get back ;) I believe that even more after this week's episode.

Oh, Jesus, I loved this. Even though that song, and every version of it, hurts my soul, in the really good way. I'm really glad you ended it with them together, and uncertain of where it might go. I don't think a happy ending, ride-off-into-the-sunset-together-forever is in store for them, or even possible, so I like that you made them unsure and sorta angsty. Wonderful.

You are the best, you know that? Thank you. I'm so glad you liked this.

You should know by now that I don't hate you ;) Despite the Mr. Sawyer reference. I'm glad the names worked for you - I always like that connection they have, the names that aren't theirs. But aww, you hate Aaron's existence? It's not his fault he's with Kate! Poor child.

And Kate and zippos are such love, really.
I know, right? I fell in love with Kate+zippos in WKD, obviously. And during the commentary, when Evie's all excited about learning to open a zippo one-handed and riding a motorcycle.

They go baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!!
Hee. Yes. They go back. I honestly never thought I'd write that, you know? You know how I feel about that. But I have you to thank for that.

::hugs:: Thanks again for such an amazing comment.

This was beautiful. First I love how you wove Hallelujah into this which I was just listening to today. For story about two characters that had gone numb it was certainly a sensual story, both in how you worded things and the actual descriptions of their interactions. I liked the emphasis placed on their names and how much history is engrained in them. The ending was a big surprise, because I'm not one who thinks anyone of them would willingly go back to stay but you sold me on the island being a place where they could be free and feel again.

Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed this. I was unsure about using Hallelujah, because sometimes I think it's so cliche and overused (though I do love the song so much). As for the ending - I don't think Kate, at least, would go back to stay, but it kind of snuck itself in there without my permission ;) I'm glad it worked for you! Thanks again.

Oh, this is good. This is very, good. Fics like this- full of heartbreak and hope and the simple, artistic unraveling of words- are what make my world go round.

I'm pillaging your stories, now. :D
