Announcing a shipwatch!
We've noticed how many newbies we have to LJ on the comm, and as such, these people never got a chance to squee over a/r when the show was originally aired. Plus, there are others like me who can squee over them again and again and again...
So, we've decided we need an epic rewatch so we can all squee together. Or, what we've decided to call a 'shipwatch'.
There won't be any serious analysis of the complexities of the bsg universe, its plot, the characterisations or the direct parallels on today's society. No! Instead, we'll be doing important things! Here's some we thought of:
- Hair Watch: the slow and super fast changes of Bill and Laura's hair during the series. (Needs lots of speculation as to where and when they visited their hair stylists.)
- Clothes Watch: the winners and losers in Bill and Laura's wardrobe. (Need lots of speculation as to where they came from and what the other thought about them.)
- Eyefrak Watch: I think we should all take special note of when and where this happens. We need to keep a detailed list!
- Secret secksing spots: Places within the timeline that Bill and Laura obviously had a chance to get it on.
- Quotes: Bugs and I have been lamenting the fact that we don't have any places to go to get accurate a/r quotes, so we'll be listing these for use by writers/everyone.
Anything else you guys would like to add to list? Just let me know on this post. Or any other questions.
For example, I'm particularly interested in rewatching to find out when Laura saw Bill's arms for the first time.
And, I also want to listen out for when she heard him called 'Bill'.
We'll start Wednesday (American Wednes) with the Mini (will probably cover the entire mini this week). So dust off your dvds and make sure you watch before then so you can join in the fun!
