Approval rating: Middle of the road
Witnessed: Their original animosity, the dinner party, Bill's insistence in reuniting the fleet and with Laura by going to Kobol, Laura taking Bill's side during the Pegasus arc, Laura's concern for Bill's boxing prowess and welfare during the UB dance, their teaming up to interrogate Baltar on his return from the basestar, Bill's breakdown when Laura is kidnapped by the basestar, post-secksy times in the Oath, the Oath kiss
The case for: Is actually pretty strong. He remained fiercely loyal to his bestie Bill, but still had that grudging respect for Laura most of the time, even during the early seasons. I think he came to understand somewhere along the the line that even though a relationship like Bill and Laura had wouldn't be the right one for him, it was the right one for them.
The case against: Probably the whole brig/Bill getting shot arc is when Saul is mostly disrespectful to Laura.
