POTD -- Aussie's top ten edition
*waves* I've been on holidays but now that I'm back I'm going to give moddy!Bugs a little rest from POTD by giving you my top ten reasons I love a/r. I missed them so!
Tonight, number ten is... They're both realistically intelligent people.
That is to say they aren't super-nerdy intelligent like some characters in sci-fi can annoyingly be (Baltar anyone?), but they are both extremely clever nevertheless. They don't feel the need to show their intelligence off (Baltar anyone?) either. (Nothing I hate more than people trying to prove to me how smart they are.) They aren't afraid to ask for other people's opinions or help when needed, but are wise enough to know when to trust their own instincts.
It could be said that on the surface Laura would be the one most people would class as traditionally intelligent...
After all, she knows much more about computers than Bill:
But Bill soon proved to us (and Laura) that he isn't just a pretty face.
After all, he gives a good speech:
Is well-read:
And will adopt other people's ideas if he believes they're worthy:
"Making babies... Works for me!"
