POTD - obviously!
The new theme this week is times when Bill and Laura have been 'obvious'. That is, their behaviour towards each other in public has pointed to a more intimate relationship. I wanted to start in the Mini (hee), but truly, I think the episode that really shows some sort of intimacy (whether that be friendship or a more romantic leaning) is Pegasus. And I'm going to spam you with my proof. :)
Right from the opening scenes, we get a united front. Space!parents!
They get ready for Cain's arrival... Together... ("Bill, can you move the Vice President away from me a little?")
I just had to include this one to show Baltar's ridiculous look.
They agree to meet with Cain in Bill's quarters. (And can we add this one to the next insane props week? What is that on Bill's table near the books!? A giant corkscrew? A giant bottle stopper? A giant pencil sharpener which the props people took over to the Major Crimes set?)
All goes well until Laura finds out that she will no longer be dealing with Bill... This will not end well...
And my final piece of proof from the eppy is the famous ladder scene. The sympathy she shows him is so perfect here. It's not overdone, but it's heartfelt. And Bill's reaction (EJO's brill acting) really picks up on the almost sentimental feelings they are both feeling for their pre-Cain life. When it was just the two of them...
