POTD: That's Got to Sting
While most Woman Hurt/Male Comfort tropes involve the woman dying of some disease (but still looking gorgeous) the Male Hurt usually means the man gets beat to a pulp. Bill happily obliges by getting beaten up a lot!
I don't want to analysis good ol' Bill, but maybe he's got a lot of frustration built up....
While Laura goes back to her Happy Place....
Bill steps in the ring and gets hurt...So Laura has to comfort....
But he just doesn't hurt enough; gotta take care of that!
Now, any non-fictional woman stuck in a literary trope would tell her man that he was being a damn fool and storm off, but Laura has to comfort...Just off screen, because we were all DYING to see Lee and Kara resolve their issues!
