I rant about it every time I watch the mutiny arc, so we thought perhaps you guys would like to put your opinion forward. The subject? Who stayed loyal to Bill and Laura during the mutiny and who decided Zarek and Gaeta were a better ship to jump onto ( Read more... )

I've never thought about the Tigh thing, but you're probably right. He was probably the catalyst for the entire thing. However, I still maintain that characters NOT on Galactica would have been the ones to rebel/mutiny. They were the ones not privy to all the inside information about Saul etc.

You've mentioned Boomer -- But they'd been working with/living with Athena for years! Were Seelix and Racetrack waiting for her to 'wake up' and kill them? Why hadn't anyone assassinated her way before then if they thought she was such a threat?

The Quorum -- They really should have taken Zarek's side. And, I think, if there was logic to 'choosing sides' they would have. Instead, particularly with the Quorum, it was emotion. It was who they rathered out of Zarek and Laura. Who they liked more. Not who was making the most sense. After all, Zarek was saying we can't trust Cylons and Laura was holed up on Galactica refusing to talk to anyone. They *should* have mutinied.

I still adore the mutiny arc though. I remember watching it the first time. I whipped through the eppies so fast, I was almost trembling with excitement during each one. Then... No Exit and Deadlock... Boy, I shouldn't really complain about Seelix and Racetrack, should I...
