After getting sucked into bsg and becoming totally obsessed with Adama and Roslin I hopped on the internet right away looking for a community. Unfortunately my searches weren't very fruitful, but I did find the SI website. I probably spent about a month there in total bliss before I got restless and was in dire need of some recommendations: that's how I stumbled upon LJ. I've been here for about two weeks now and I feel as much a newbie and tech-challenged as I did on the first day here. But I was in awe when I saw that a lot of the authors from SI were here, it was almost as if I entered a world of celebs ;) (I am still in the process of giving feedback to all the wonderful fics, hold on folks

I know what you mean - I still feel a like a total newbie and have ZERO tech skills (seriously, its embarrassing LOL) - so I found LJ a little overwheling at first.

Before, bsg I was already into a little show called 'the pretender' and the x files.

Haha! I am laughing so loud right now.. That's amazing really. Sometimes the world feels like such a tiny place. I'd love to read your pretender fic! Teens ineed ;) Gods. I remember they had the greatest fanfic archive, like ever. They took it down several years ago though. Love!

awwww, mine were in french XD can you read french? =P the site is down but i still have them somewhere in my HD ahah, i think i reread them a couple of years later and was all WTF, did i wrote this?? O.o really? LOL

Ah, bon soir, ca va! My french is a little rusty.. So that will be a slight problem.. Man! writing is difficult. I had this epiphany about writing an A/R story last week, first time ever (of course it had nothing to do with the thesis I actually HAVE to write for uni). And then I have been reading these great fanfics over the week and the standards are just so high! So I am just thinking, trial by error, right? I am still curious though, so send it over! :)

Welcome to LJ!

I'm glad to hear people are still joining and reading on SI.

There seems to be a lot of XFiles fans around a/r, so I'm sure you'll have lots in common with people here.

I am a total tech fail. If I can work LJ, anyone can. If you need to know anything, pm me. If I can't answer you, I'm sure I can tell you who can.

Mindful of other ships? er... not me... *snort* Of course that's one of the reasons we started up about_time, to enjoy a/r without having to worry about other pairings.

Some places IM. It's difficult with our time zone issues though. I'm usually asleep while the rest of the world wants to be online. We are in the middle of a rewatch on about_time. We're up to Torn. (I know crappy eppy to be up to.) We'll post a 'shipwatch'. You're welcome to get on that entry and yabber on with us. In fact, that's kinda what we hope people do! LOL
