The 'answers' to the quotations in a form of a picspam.

1. Liar

And so, apparently, am I! I wasn't trying to trick you this time, but I was for the Battleship and I forgot this one was there! When Mel said she was talking to Baltar, I had a 'huh' moment! I wasn't lying when I said she was talking to Bill. Only it was Bill Pullman and not Bill Adama. *sigh* I thought everyone would call me out and quickly tell me that the 'liar' quote was from Independence Day, but apparently you all thought she must have said it in the mini. I doublechecked the mini, and in fact she never said those exact words. When she says 'liar' it sounds very Laurish though, you have to agree.

And now, the 'real' quotes:

2. There you are.

Such a simple piece of dialogue from Unfinished Business and yet probably one of my favourites, along with the 'hey' he greets her with. Even without the flashbacks or the rest of the eppy, my shippy heart will forever flip because of 'there you are'. She's looking for him. She finds out about the dance, 'quite accidentally I might add', and as soon as she gets there, there's only one place she wants to watch the fights from -- his side. So much love for that scene.

3. How romantic.

In Unfinished Business there is a man sitting with his feet buried in the alluvial deposits. A woman comes and joins him. They talk about the river mouth and the colour red. Their only hint of intimacy is her gentle touch on his arm. How romantic can this be? Very romantic.

4. Do it.

Why was the shooting down of the Olympic Carrier Laura's decision in my favourite eppy 33? A lot of people ask this, but I will always presume that Bill had to let Laura decide because there were civilians on board, and it wasn't a military target so to speak. Although one would think the fact it had nuclear weapons ready to go might have overruled this need. Whatever, I still think it's wonderful to see Laura being so in 'command'.

5. So much life.

I adore Daybreak. There is no are they or aren't they in their relationship. They are a couple, they are in love. A love that not many people will ever get to experience and if they did, they'd probably die happy, like Laura did.

6. Clear your heads.

You Can't Go Home Again is pretty much ho-hum until Laura goes to the Galactica univited and unannounced and demands that Bill and Lee clear their heads and start making decisions that are for the good of the entire fleet and not just themselves. I don't think Bill ever really does this though, despite his speech in UB. One of the reasons Laura and Bill are such a strong partnership is that she balances out this tendency. I think this is the first time we and Bill get to see Laura go into full on HBIC mode. The ways she clips out 'unacceptable' is a highlight as well.

7. My fault.

Why were the tests stopped and started in my other favourite (yes, I can totally have more than one) eppy, Tigh Me Up, Tigh Me Down? Yes, it was Laura's fault! Such a funny scene. I even laugh at Baltar, which is rare. Laura's utterly gorg here (thanks EJO).

8. ...and yet...

In Pegasus Laura realises just how good she's had it with Bill. I also like these small moments where she is protective of him, and offers him sympathy. She also gave Bill the opportunity to look up her skirt.

9. He is a tough old bird.

There isn't much going for The Farm, but I do love that quote and the relief she shows on her face when she says it. It tells us that even though they were 'enemies', she still never wished him any harm. I'm using a different cap than Mel did the other day. She didn't actually say the actual words here. But I chose this one because they all look so funny!

10. Love, huh.

Elosha tells her in the Hub that she just has to love somebody. Love, huh? Who will she love? Probably this man here loving her all the way to the end.
