I didn't know that they could put that kind of restriction on abortion. Well...lucky for you, you are almost 18. Good Luck and feel free to ask questions here cause if it wasn't for the women here, I would have been very confused with everything. :)

Yep, parental notification is only one of the things they can do... most extreme is some states require BOTH of the minor's parents to CONSENT to the abortion.

well if you arent a big fan of pain I would opt for the surgical, you go through more pain with medical and cramping. But you should try to find out how far along you are b/c some states have a limit as to how far along you can be for them to do one.

see, i keep reading about how "uncomfortable" the surgical is, but then i read that your put under anesthesia... and i dont remember who said it, but i read a comment, that they went under and it felt like thirty seconds later they were on the way to recovery.

I had a surgical abortion while wide awake. It was scary...but that was probably the worst of it. Just do whatever you are most comfortable with. :) Read up and ask your provider.
