Well, i've been looking around and reading some posts and you guys seem very nice and helpful. =]
So here's my deal, my period is 2 and a half weeks late and i've been having stomach pains and nausea since about last week. I've recently taken a pregnancy test and it came out positive. I've talked to my boyfriend and he supports me in whatever i want to do, and i plan to have an abortion. Also, i'm 19 and my parents don't know i have a boyfriend and i don't want them to know i'm pregnant.
Now i'm just wondering if those clinics listed under the Planned Parenthood Los Angeles website all have abortion services, or are those general clinics and i have to call and ask for a referal to a clinic or something? I'm just a little shy 'bout calling and talking on phones, so i might get a trusted friend to help me make some calls for me.
Also, do you guys think medical or surgical abortion is better. A medical abortion sounds more comfortable to be able to do it in the privacy of your own home, but it takes like a week or 2 to have the abortion completed, and there's also a chance it doesn't work and have to get a surgical abortion anyways. And with surgical it only takes like 15 minutes. After a surgical abortion, can i drive or should i get a ride? How long does the whole thing take? I mean the preperation, abortion, and the recovery, how long do you have to stay the whole day until they let you go?
Thanks for your help and time. =]
*update*
I just looked around some more and found a Planned Parenthood of Pasadena website that says that their clinic provides first trimester abortions and medical abortions. Pasadena isn't far, only 'bout 20-30 minutes away plus i go to school in Pasadena. All i have to do now is make a phone call... i'm still shy 'bout that. =\
