So my taste in music has been taking an unusual turn lately. For a while now I have been calming down quite a bit. I still love aggressive, heavy music... but for the last couple of days I've been listening to alot of stuff I grew up on, as well as alot of stuff I never knew I would like.
I've been on a big Mamas and the Papas trip lately. I stopped counting how many times a day I've listened to California Dreamin' after I got into double digits. I find it odd because I grew up on alot of oldies, and I hated them. I never liked motown or any of that stuff, but now for some reason it is right up my ally. in the last few days I have downloaded an insane amount of Mamas and the Papas... some turtles, and just... all sorts of oldies goodness. I have no idea why I hated this stuff when I was a kid. I am surprised my parents didn't drop kick me! I would have.
Not only that but I have been listening to a small amount of r&b like Lauren Hill and what not. When the Fugees did Killing Me Softly I couldn't and still can't help but love it.
I have also been on a big 80's kick. Top two on my list is Cory Hart and Flock of Seagulls. Simply put... the 80's were kick ass.
Sometimes my musical tastes can be very odd at times... but hell... I digs em'.
That's all for now. Off to study for Sociology. Toodles, Loves.
