underwater wonderland
So, today I went snorkeling, ate nasty Japanese food and got enrolled in a Japanese class. I also picked up the autobiography of Bill Clinton; hopefully it will be worth a gander.
When I went down into the water today I felt something come alive inside me. It was my old childhood dream of being an oceanographer... I have always loved the world of the underwater, although it was only through the glass on my television or the pictures in a book or on a postcard. I got some really good exposure to the unique world below our atmosphere. My snorkeling partner had to more or less stick to the shores, and I didn't push her weak swimming abilities. I only wish we would have gone out further, that we could have had diving tanks, masks, wetsuits and flashlights so that we could have really gone down and explored.
The best part? It only cost me four dollars.
Oh, and the next time I go out I am bringing a camera!
