(Bonus points for any-one who recognizes the subject line)
Anyway, I had a very productive meeting with Leo today (my committee chair) in which I was told my syllabus was too ambitious. We hacked off a whole topic, split another in two and deleted some of the more advanced stuff in it and added some simpler stuff.
Interestingly, when he saw my old syllabus,
rdore commented that the only hole he saw in it was that there wasn't much forcing and the amount of forcing has now gone substantially up (I've got consistency of diamond and consistency of MA+(-CH)).
BTW, any-one know how to show Con(CH + ~Diamond)? Diamond seems one of those sufficiently crazy things that it would be easy to falsify but I can't see it...
