I had an interview yesterday at a local junior/senior high that is remarkable understaffed. Still, I liked the place, and will gladly take the job if it is offered.
I'm getting through the newest harry potter book now that Caren is done with it. I am about a quarter of the way through so far. hooray for escape.
at caren's lab, they are running some experiments on blood. if you let them drain you, they give you $20. I have done it once so far, and caren has done it 4 times. today i went in to do it, and they screwed up bad and had to stick mke 4 times, and it still took 15 minuted to suck enough blood out. One should never have to ask the question "are those little air bubbles going to go back into my veins and kill me?"
also, while running out to Caren's car to get yesterday's student newspaper to compare the wonderful job
amidala2 did helping squash a feebleminded SG taco bell ban (don't ask), I hit myself in the jaw with her car door (it is longer than mine!!) while i was shutting it, almost knocking myself unconscious. i jave a big bump on the left side of my jaw now, but at least i got that damned newspaper. ouch.
I got a notice from my bank today saying they took $69.50 out of my bank account because i "mistyped" my ATM deposit on july 3rd.......only problem is that i am right and they are wrong... now i just have to wait until they mail me a copy of the check to prove it. people are stupid.
Last week, I found the wonderfully great "zelda 2: the adventures of link" for $9.99 at the local used video game place. I snatched that shit up quick and have been having a blast with it. Entertainment weekly recenlt ranked it #1 in their "greatest video games of all time" issue. I know because i got 8 free issues of entertainment weekly when we bought harry potter at media play.
WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
caren is prolly getting a new car later this week. I am excited but nervous, because that is just one more bill to worry about making each month. still, it will be nice.
word.
