Idol

Oh, and I did the American Idol experience at Disney this week as well. I won my prelim, and was in the finals (top 5). Alas, I did not win.. I was told my voice was too musical theatre.. shocker.. but I am determined that if I return and decide to do it again, i WILL win. It was a great learning experience though. I was nervous as heck since I sort of just jumped into it last second, and because it was pop.. not my comfort zone. Performing with the cameras in my face and to pop music in that way was a huge experience for me though.. it's meant to be a sort of amusing park attraction, but it was actually good career training for me. I'm determined to work at being more of a crossover artist.. I'd love to dabble in pop music a little bit more. It can only help my career. I want to get into TV and film a bit more as well. It's funny, but that experience really was a great opportunity for me - who cares if I won or not. I only want to do it again and win for ego's sake, hah. I was beat by a shy 17 year old girl.. so this pro singer needs to win something like that or else he feels a little silly....!
