hark the herald angels wait is over
the OCU letter came, finally. silly me, i didn't post results immediately. i was busy with that nag-ish christmas thingie. anyway, i ended up being accepted into both of OCU's BA programs in music and in theatre. they didn't send me an invite to MT, [doh] but considering they accepted 10 out of 200 that weekend, i think i fared well with a music and theatre invite.
i'm pretty sure i'm accepting the music invite, as the curriculum is similar to MT, and i want to focus on voice anyway- so being a voice major wouldn't be a bad idea, no? also, i found out that BAs can have the famed MT voice teachers, if they ask nicely [maybe grovel a little] and plead unrelentingly. therefore, if that happens, i'll end up with something pretty close to the BM in MT training minus those pesky dance classes and an MT course, or four. [i can always take some dance as electives anyway.]
so, i didn't get my top choice, but it's still a pretty nice option for me. plus i'll still have time to do the musicals, as soon as i get cast.
now it's time to look into apartments and maybe get my hands on a car again. [whoohoo!]
