Dunno if anybody saw the special on Darkon (a LARP in Baltimore) on the IFC last night at 9.
Deffinetly a different system of rules for combat, mainly "black-knight" style as far as I can tell.
There were a few things I saw that I'm glad we don't have problems with at Magestry though, like people breaking a friendship OOG because of an IG occurance. There were some other things too, like using real mythical god (like all of the greek gods), or barely changing the name of the dark elven goddess from D&D (Loth instead of Lolth). And as far I saw, dark elves were the only non-human race there,... except maybe the gypsies, but we all know they are sub-human anywayz ;P. I know Peter and Mark Dey would like it because apparently you can shield bash and hit like it's the SCA... but their weapons look lame.
Anyone else see it and care to comment?
