Yuletide 2012 Author Reveal!
The time is here!
I had a lovely Yuletide, and I hope everyone else did too. <3 I received three lovely gifts, sencha's Prince Charming Gets Married (The Hero's Guide to Saving Your Kingdom - Christopher Healy) and Untherius's In Which a Hunting Trip Becomes More and Which Tells of a Quest for Biscuits (both Howl's Moving Castle). I've said more about all three of my gifts here, but let me take this chance to again say thank you to both of my authors. <333

Here are the fics I wrote this Yuletide!
1) Noah's Arkangel (26996 words) by abluestocking for strix_alba

Summary: “I’ll be up at the Arkangel,” Noah finishes. “When you lot have finished your grumbling, come up and get your assignments.”
After he leaves, everyone looks at each other, still caught in the moment of silence. As might have been expected, Ham’s the one to break it. “What’s crawled up his exhaust pipe?”
“I think the prospect of a life-ending flood might just have had a moderately deleterious effect upon him,” Rahela says sarcastically. “I can’t imagine why.”
Reveal comments: So this is the fic that was originally supposed to be about a third of this length, and then it decided it had other ideas. :) Strix_alba's main request in this fandom was for an AU, so I took that and ran with it. Apparently you can't do Noah's Ark AUs in space without epic proportions!
I'd never written this many scientists before - let's get real, I've never written any scientists period - so hopefully the science mostly sort of worked? (A. is probably pityingly shaking his head right now.) If it doesn't, well, I blame my anthropologist POV character, who probably just misunderstood or heard wrong. :P Which, speaking of anthropologists, in an eerie coincidence my recipient turned out to be one too. Yes. This only happens to me. So hopefully all the ethical debates about anthropology weren't horribly off. *headdesk* I did enjoy writing it, though, despite its longwindedness and science. :)

Since I had a little bit of time before Madness closed, me writing more things was pretty predictable. :D This was a first attempt and didn't quite make it too far into pornness. There are bagpipes and posh apple juice and Alastair attempting to be Malcolm Tucker, however. :)
