It is so cold outside. The Windex that I am using to clean regulation boards froze on contact when I sprayed the Plexiglas. I think that if I had licked a flagpole yesterday my tongue would have stuck. And the current temperature? Three. I know, I know - I'm from Michigan and I shouldn't complain. Don't let the complaining fool you. I can still tough out this cold snap, even when I have to hike around in it.
Speaking of cold, cold Michigan, Ryan and I stopped in East Lansing for lunch last week. I'd forgotten the bitter wind that rips through campus - we didn't walk around as much as I'd originally planned. Did you know that the road between Mason-Abbot and Phillips-Snyder is gone? They turned it into a nice grassy quad, with trees and everything. And Flats closed - a moment of silence for their delicious food. We ate at Georgio's, whose pizza was every bit as good as I remember.
I don't know when I'll next be back in Michigan. We're planning a hiking trip to Isle Royale with my parents this summer, but that hardly counts. Thankfully we won't be completely on our own this Christmas - Ryan's parents and sister are coming to visit. And I think Crystal and Seth will be in Denver, so maybe we'll get to see them too.
