I tell people that I don't like the girl my crush is dating because I'm afraid she's going to hurt him.

It's more of a mix of that and the fact that I get upset when I think of how it's not me.

They'd laugh so hard if I admitted that.

...oh my god I just saw this on my way down to comment, but JESUS, I KNOW EXACTLY HOW THAT FEELS. It ended up being in my favor though; I dated the friend who I thought that about for two years.
