Dissapointing your parents with body modification
I like that fact that I can compain about the endless problems I've had with my recent nose piercing on LJ without the disapproving 'adults' on fb, who told me not to get it done, having an 'I told you so' carnival.
So, because I went to a piercer who turned out to be dodgy, and who screwed up the placement and the angle of my piercing, I've had a a pressure sore/scar-y thing next to my piercing for the past few months that just wouldn't go away. I've been able to get it down to a size where it's barely visible at times, but it just keeps coming back/flaring up/getting infected. So I decided to take the piercing out today. Money down the drain. Oh well.
I do want to get another nostril piercing some time in the near future, because before that one started going to hell, I like the way it looked. If anyone has a recommendation of a decent, reputable, COMPETENT piercer I could go to to get it done, that would be great. I'd prefer not to go to polymorph, because political/ideological reasons.
You know what, if anybody's listening, money toward a new piercing would be a geat birthday present...hint hint...LJ can even tell you when my bday is.
