Really? You mean you remembered some times but not others? Who are you?

Well. It seems that way, really, but maybe I just haven't gotten there, yet -- it's always hard to be sure, really, time being the way it is. Still! For now it seems you've hit the nail on the proverbial head.

A lot of people seem to find their friends are from different times. The ones that have people from their own world at least.

What world are you from?

Quite right they do! These Scientists seem to enjoy mucking about in timelines quite a bit, don't they?

Oh, I was on Earth right before...well. This. Twenty-first century.

Oh, that too, of course. I suppose it's a scientist's job, really, mucking about with lives. Almost like some sort of experiment, really.

Which Earth! Blimey, but that's an interesting one, haven't got a question like that in quite a while. One of many, I suppose, though I don't make a habit of crossing universes. Oh, right, sorry -- all this going on and I haven't even introduced myself! I'm the Doctor, what's your name?

Lyra Silvertongue.

'The Doctor' - so are you a scientist too?

...Lyra Silvertongue! Really! --Well, it's a pleasure, Lyra, absolutely.

Me? Oh-- no, no, not really. Not at all, really -- it's a name, not a title.
