[the communicator switches on; to a sound like vworp, vworp, vworp, starting off loud and then cutting off. then there are a few moments of silence before the sound of a door clicking and then creaking open, followed by the crunch of footsteps and what sounds like quick mutterings]

To have traveled to so many different "worlds" would take either a great deal of technological advancements or a great deal of time.

Normally, I would think the former. But... you remind me of someone that was a lot older than they looked.
