Best Laid Plans

I was going to write an entry about all the funny things that have been said in my classroom lately, but then this happened.

I no longer have a car because the Corrola died, but it hasn't been a big deal because Jen comes to get me every day. We are neighbors and I give her gas money. She had a doctors appointment today so I caught the bus. No big deal.

Until I get to the college park station and get on the wrong bus to Banneker. (I was supposed to get on either the 89 or the 289 but somehow I ended up on the 189. Those of you that have interacted with me on a daily basis could see me doing this.) Anyway, I got dropped off in the middle college park waiting at an unmarked bus stop. I was freaking out trying to get a hold of my department head, and thinking about finding a place that was open so that I could ask them where to catch the bus. I was of course praying as well. "Please Jesus,Jesus, Jesus."

When a car pulled up, it was Ms. Harrel asking if I needed a ride. She was on her way. I hopped in the car and exclaimed "I caught the wrong fucking bus" just in time to see her four year old in the back seat. Way to be grateful Abby. Way to be grateful.

Anyway, I feel like it was God's way of reminding me that if He wants me here, then He will provide a way for me to get here.
